Anyone used canada overlook for dp?
Hey guys,
I will be an escape bride and canada overlook is the only dp venue I have been offered where I can have seating (which I need) I have seen the photos of the area during the day but can't find any with fireworks in. Has anyone used this venue and can provide feedback on how annoying the trees were? Any help is much appreciated |

These photos of Vikings Landing may help. It has a similar situation with overhanging trees. The thing is, Canada is slightly closer to the show, so the trees there obscure even more of the high fireworks. If you're right at the railing looking out, you'll still enjoy the show, but in photos of you watching the show you won't see as many fireworks.

Oh ok so we will still all see the show! That's good.
I'm shocked that so few people have used the area though! |

Do you think they could guarantee not to move the bench? |

They can't guarantee not to move the benches, but I've been going to WDW for 6 years now and have never seen them missing.
I'm not sure that Vikings Landing is better... Canada is along a portion of the lagoon that feels closer to the show than Norway. For photography purposes Vikings Landing might have the slight edge on tree overhang, but just for enjoying the show, closer always seems better to me. If you didn't have the seating requirement, I would recommend Kasbah Point or Parisian Point. Morocco Oasis was the best of the smaller capacity venues, but now they're plopping a restaurant on top of it. ![]() Another idea is to check back when you're within 30 days of your date to see if any of the larger venues haven't been booked by big parties and switch. This is how we got UK Lower. Germany has a very nice view and several small terraces that would accommodate your group, but you can only book it 10 days out or less—a real nail-biter!
