I am considering a 5 day after Christmas for New Year's trip this year and just looked up some room rates on the Disney Website. OMG! I can't believe the rates are so high.

Am I right in assuming that if discounts come out for December 2013 the week between Christmas and New Year's will be totally blocked? I know in the past, sometimes if you arrived a day before the holiday block out period you were able to get the cheaper rate( I might consider changing my dates if this is the case)-

Would love to use our annual pass more then once- but not sure I can justify the prices-

Yes, you can book your trip today and then call Disney to get any discount that comes up later. They will give you the discount. We are hoping for a discount to show up for our trip in December. They probably won't release those discounts until this summer, though.

First time replying on this site, but used it many times before for great information. Just booked 12/1 to 12/7 at CBR, first time staying at a resort. Hoping for a FD deal since my 3yr old DD loves the character meals. Looking forward to using all the great information on the board!

Subbing. We are booked 11/28 - 12/4 at the Dolphin and my parents are booked for the same time at Pop. Keeping an eye on it all and will shift dates if necessary depending on Pop & discounts.

This is extrememly good for me - I was going to go from Dec 1-7th .. so looks like I will be skating out of there (or cheering out of there!!) just as the teams start rolling in !!

This is extrememly good for me - I was going to go from Dec 1-7th .. so looks like I will be skating out of there (or cheering out of there!!) just as the teams start rolling in !!

Thanks for the dates. We'll be there Dec. 4th - 15th, do we know which resort Pop Warner are staying at yet?

I'm sorry ..I didn't ask this AM which hotels. There are usually a few different value resorts/moderate resorts that they stay in. Safe bet is to stay away from the values ..unless you don't mind the cheer squads and youthfulness that come with them!
