Nate: Professor Collins knew the exact words to comfort Nate. He no longer felt like he had caused a huge problem or that his powers were hopeless. And adding in that Superman thing, that boosted his self confidence like crazy. He took it as her comparing him to Superman, one of the most famous hero's of all time. But, the mention of dinner made Nate queasy. He had felt nauseous this whole time, and didn't know if he could stomach food. Besides, he wasn't sure if he could handle the walk to dinner, he was so fatigued. He shook this off, though, not wanting to seem weak, and slowly got up.

Professor Collins: She smiled and got up. She srtudied him for a moment. She didn't need to be a telepath to know he was exhausted. "You know what, why don't you just go have a nap for now? At least a couple hours. Then, if you're hungry later, you can always go eat something then, even if you break curfew."

So, he decided he may as well sask River. "So...........what now? I mean, are we together? Is that how this works? Wait, I might have to ask you out first. I don't mind being together, but if you want to just stay friends I'm okay with that. I have zero experience with this kind of thing. My brothers had friends and girlfriends, but I never did. I have no idea what I'm doing. I don't really know what any of this means, I hadn't exactly gotten this far when I decided to kiss you."

River: River giggled "Daniel, I don't know, I have less experience with this then you do. I think usually the guy "asks out" the girl, but what does that mean? Does kissing me count as me bring asked out? Never mind, Daniel I'm not worried about the "rules"." she said, when she caught herself beginning to ramble she paused and then added. "But I would be okay if we were together." she said and then blushed, embarrassed that this might not have been the answer Daniel wanted.

River: River suddenly realized just how long they had been standing outside. "good idea" she said as they walked to the manor. Once inside she wasn't sure what to do. She didn't know we're everyone else was, were they supposed to go to dinner now? Being inside snapped River back into reality. Her smile faded slightly, "Do you think Nate is okay? maybe we should go check on him."

She felt like she had said more here in these two days than she had in the past year. She still felt extremely awkward, but she felt like she was making progress, at least.
