We are thinking about taking our little boy to Disney World for his 4th birthday in April 2013. It will be our first Disney vaca as a family! :-D
I am just wondering if April is a good time to go. Crowds are my biggest concern. We will prob arrive in Disney the week after Easter. Any thoughts??? |

Welcome!
![]() April can be busy... actually spring break can be one of the busiest times of the year. However, I think the week before Easter is busier so maybe you will get lucky. If that's the best time for you to go then go for it. If you have flexibility then there are less crowded times to go.

My wife an I go to WDW the second week of May each year so we are there for our Anniversary. The crowds aren't bad, but it can be hot. With a four year old in tow I'd recommend hitting the parks first thing in the morning, returning to your resort by mid afternoon for naps and pool time and then back to the park in the evening when it is cooler and you're rested.

Welcome. Both weeks of Easter are crowded. Last week of Apr or May is much better.
Merry Christmas to all.

We went last yr the second week in May, my DD was 3yrs old, & it was 96 degrees everyday. We went to the parks but only stayed around 3hrs. It was just to hot for us. We went back to where we were staying & she played in the pool & did not get back out to the parks, she was just happy to stay at the villa. We were on a Make A Wish Trip & stayed at Give Kids The World, They had things there that she enjoyed.
We are planning a trip in 58 days, last week in Febuary, I think it will work out better for us, since it will not be real hot. Staying on site.
