Current direct sale prices for all resorts?

Does anyone know the direct resale cost of all of the resorts? I was wondering which resort is the cheapest right now. Only interested in direct pricing.

Vero Beach is cheapest overall at $75 pp.

Vero may carry a higher maintenance fee though...make sure you look at those as well.

I've wondered about this. I'm. 45 and I've probably got about 20-30 years of park attending in me....maybe. Realistically I'd say 20 because of health issues. Does the end date really matter for me? Or is it more important in terms of my son (currently 5) being able to use it?

one of the 2042 resorts is probably a good fit. you never know if a youngster will grow up to want the DVC contract or consider it an expensive obligation.

i would recommend sticking with the onsite resorts, though...

Thank you. This is the first time I've heard that this would be ok. Most posts refer to the 2042 end date as a red flag. I'm thinking of adding on. VWL looks like it might be a good choice.

Ehh, I am 41. DH is 46. Sure we have young children, but they will have their own lives and desires when they are grown. We bought BCV, a 2042 end date this summer. 30 years of use sounds good to me.

ETA: not sure I would pay direct prices for 30 years of use though!

I know the direct part is tough. My first set of points are direct. As I get older I want the option to use the for a cruise here and there. I know I won't be doing the parks as often as now. A friend of mine doing her current Xmas cruise on points. It's appealing. Although I know not it's not the best use of your points. Just feel better buying direct.

It's a fine theory you have about using your points, but what happens if and when Disney cuts way back on the number of cruises available to book on points? They've done it before. How will you feel about spending twice as much to buy direct? Just something to chew on...

I don't know. I'd rather play it safe though. It's a lot of money either way. I don't know if I'd do it if I couldn't have the same benefits. I probably wouldn't add on at all then. I just don't think I could bring myself to buy resale. I would have if this was a couple of years ago.

Keep in mind that all the contract promises you is you will be able to stay at your home resort. The cruises could be gone, staying at the other resorts could be gone. I bought at BWV and could live with that if worse came to worse. Ask yourself that.

Yeah that's why I keep coming back to buying VGC points. So expensive though even resale.
