Thank you so much for your Ohana review. I immediately went and changed one of my reservations. I know I won't be disappointed!

12/08 Not too much to report today. Honestly, we had a huge breakfast, and then spent most of the day in bed before dinner. For breakfast, we thought it would be a good idea to have Christina experience something she hadn’t up until this point. The wonder of a Waffle House breakfast. ![]() ![]() Now, these places aren’t the prettiest. And they may not be the cleanest. But for the money, you can really get your eat on. We weren’t really in the picture taking mood, unfortunately, and we devoured a ridiculous amount of food. I ordered a pecan waffle, scrambled eggs, a sausage biscuit, hash browns smothered and covered, and then promptly had a heart attack. Christina ordered eggs and hash browns with toast and an order of sausage biscuits with gravy. Good lord they don’t skimp on the gravy. ![]() Like I said, we rolled ourselves back to the hotel and spent most of the day sleeping. It was nice to take a break and do absolutely nothing. We found the energy to wander off site again for some mexican food. We ended up going to Taqueria El Mexicano. The food was pretty spot on authentic Mexican, and affordable. We partook in ridiculously expensive margaritas, which I wasn’t too happy about. Oh well, you only live once! ![]() I ordered a steak taco, which was really, really good. ![]() And some sort of burrito/enchilada combo, with a side of beans and rice, which was also delicious. ![]() Christina ordered a taco platter, which she thoroughly enjoyed. ![]() For dessert, we decided to try the Tres Leches cake, since neither of us had ever had this before. ![]() Two words. HOLY. CRAP. This thing was sinfully decadent, and outrageously tasty. One of the best desserts of the entire trip, it was moist, soft, sickeningly sweet, and just perfect. It took everything I had not to order us another. We went back to the hotel room, had some wine, and hit the hay. It was a gloriously uneventful day, and we were well rested for the next day. Coming up, some Boardwalk exploration, and a wonderful dinner at Raglan Road. |

Been following your reviews and love them. Just had to say my 1st dog as a kid was a German Shepard named Kona (after Kona Hawaii where my parents honey mooned). She's beautiful!

I've really enjoyed reading your reviews! I begged my husband for a WDW honeymoon but he wouldn't have any of it. We ended up in Europe instead (no complaints there!) but I think he was so moved by my sadness over not getting to WDW after the wedding that he said we should go for our one year anniversary! We actually ate at the California Grill on our actual anniversary and sat in the same spot you did
. We actually liked Artist Point more that trip but I still enjoy CG and look forward to the renovations. I will also point your review out to my husband as an example that it is okay for men to be Disney food obsessed - he was a little hesitant to participate in our review at first because he felt like he would be the only testosterone on the front page .

Awwww, Kona is adorable.
: Ugh, Waffle House >.< I can't eat since the last time I was there, my eggs weren't cooked all the way. Shutters at CBR has a really good tres leches cake. Course it's been a few years since Ive been there so it may not be on the menu anymore. Looking forward to Raglan Road! |
