I've ridden the ride at Tokyo Sea and loved it. It starts out slow but progresses into a fast roller-coaster like ride (no steep drops though) that travels indoors and out.

Some of the descriptions of the Dwarf Mine Train remind me of the Journey to the Center of the Earth ride. So while I don't think we will see JTTCOTE state-side, maybe will get something almost as good (or better) with the mine train ride.

The movie has NOTHING to do with the attraction. The attraction opened in 2001 based on the original Jules Verne book.
