Prilosec Rx 40 mg
I've been taking this and having wonderful success on it. I am running out my refill and my doc's office is closed and I'm going out of town on Sunday.
I have taken OTC and it never works the same .... It's a small little tablet, but the reg 40mg from the pharmacy is a capsule, could this make a difference. Has anyone had any success with OTC acid relievers... I've used Zegerid and it's not horrible at all. Anyone?

Prilosec OTC is only 20mg...if you are out of your Prilosec 40mg perscription, just take 2 of the Prilosec OTC.
another good one is Prevacid. take either about 30 min before you eat...if you wait till after if has limited effect. (both are proton pump inhibitors. proton pumps secreat acid in the stomach to break down food when we eat. they are activated when we eat, so if you take the Prilosec after you eat something, the pumps are already secreating acid. The idea is to have the pumps secreat less acid. Hard to type...sorry if typos. Feel better. |
