Phone number for site requests?
We're booked for the last week of July, 2013. Tent camping.
We have a large tent (16X16) plus an easy up we will be using. Looking at the map, I would prefer the 1500 loop if we can get it (appears to be closer to the pool than the 2000 loop), but I've read that the pads are smaller. I didn't see anywhere during the reservation process (online through Disney) that I can request a location or note the size of our camping equipment. Is this something I should call about? If so, when would I need to do that? (I did try a search, but could only find conflicting information regarding faxing a request, so I hope there is some more up to date information.) Thanks so much for any help! |

I call 1(407)W-DISNEY. That will be the main reservation line.

indimom,
I started a thread about this topic (pad sizes in 1500 loop) last March. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2901476 16 x 16 is a big tent and won't fit on several sites in 1500. So as wdwrroad said, call the main ressie line and have them add a request (1500 loop) and your tent size to the notes on your reservation. Do this anytime until about 10 days before arrival. There are differing opinions about how effective faxing the same info a few days before arrival is. I used to fax (seemed to work) and then just note it in my ressie now (seems to work also). Loop 2000 is not bad at all. Sites are bigger. When checking in if you find out you are assigned to 2000, ask for an outer site in the back around site 2040 or so. From there you can walk behind the group camping site (Creekside Meadow) and take its small foot bridge across a ditch and come out in the back of loop 900 across from the Meadow Trading Post. It seriously shortens the walk from 2000. Bama ED

Thanks so much for the phone number and for all the other information! Very helpful! And I'm glad to hear that the walk from 2000 isn't as bad as it looked on the map. (it was the creek that made it look l-o-n-g...)
I'm sure we'll have a blast no matter where we are, but I figured it couldn't hurt to try for something a little closer (if we will fit). |
