A quick resort/Bus question
Normally when I go to MK I stay at Pop, but I thought about maybe staying in the pirate rooms at CBR this time. Has anyone ever stayed in the pirate rooms? Do you think they are worth $100 more a night? I will be staying 4 nights.
I am planning a vacation for the first week in February and I was wondering how bad bus pick up would be. I don't mind waiting in line to come back at night but i don't like wait ob my way to the parks. Do both Pop and CBR have dedicated busses or do they share a bus with another resort? I only worry because I have stayed at ASMovies before and waited 2+ hrs for a bus to MK, never again. Also how bad do you think the cheerleaders will affect the parks? I didn't realize that there was cheer championship that weekend. Thanks for any feedback, Lisa |

2- Nope. 3- Sorry that happened to you, but rest assured that it would be very, very, very unusual for that to happen. I've stayed at All Stars' a great number of times and have never experienced an exorbitant wait for any bus. |

The problem when we were at ASMovies was the buses were coming to us already packed full from the other All Star resorts. So I guess they were stopping there first.

The pirate rooms are great for the kids. It seems the beds are smaller than the standard beds, though. it may just be the design and it only looks smaller. We did not stay there, but our friends did and it just seemed a little tighter. CBR is very nice, but there is potential for a LOT of walking if you are not near the ventral pool and food court. Take a look at the layout and put in a request where you feel comfortable. Cheerleader's are loud at times as they tend to cheer ALL THE TIME. Doesn't bother us as they are just having fun and that's what it's all about, but it does bother some people. Don't remember to parks being any more crowded because of it.

We have stayed at CBR a few years ago (2009 i think), in the pirate rooms and it was really cool. Everything about the room is just like a pirate ship. And about the buses, CBR does have dedicated buses, but there are multiple stops for all the different buildings. I dont remember if the pirate rooms is one of the last stops or not, I do remember that the pirate rooms are pretty far back in the resort though.

I haven't stayed in a normal room there. Only the pirate rooms.
I don't know that they are worth $100 per night. If you have a skittish child, do NOT turn out the lights in the main room, turn on the lights in the bathroom area, and then close the curtain. Turns into a lit-up pirate skull...not good for kids who scare easily! The beds were cool-looking, but small. And when I lifted up the sheets to peek at the mattress, I saw that the mattress was absolutely the thinnest little mattress I've ever seen on top of the box spring. It was more like something you put on top of a mattress. I found it to be decently comfy, if memory serves, but then I'm WEIRD about mattresses. They were a bit of a walk away from the food court, but it was December when we were there, we were jet lagged, and going slow was fine. Don't know about the bus, as we had a rental car. I would balk at $100 more per night.
