Do you need an ADR to eat at the counter?
I am making an impromptu trip in less than two weeks. I will be traveling solo. I might want to dine at California Grill or one of the other restaurants with counters. Do I need an ADR if I want to sit at the counter?
Also, what other restaurants have counters? I think Flying Fish and Jiko have them. Are there any others? |

Yes, you do need an ADR to be seated at the chef's counters, but usually not at the bars or lounges which may be inside the restaurant or attached.
The Cal Grill lounge area is large, and there is a small bar area inside Jiko, Citricos and Narcoossee's. Some stand alone or attached lounges will have a limited menu, such as Crew's Cup Lounge next to Yachtsman Steakhouse, Territory Lounge at Wilderness Lounge, and Tambu Lounge at 'Ohana. You can also try La Cava del Tequila and the new Tutto Gusto lounges. For casual dining, you can sit at the Tune In Lounge bar adjoining 50's Prime Time Cafe and order from the regular menu.
