Autograph book question
I'll be taking my 2 nieces and their 2 sons (3 & 6) to WDW in May. It will be the first Disney trip for the boys and I want to scrap their autograph books to make them extra special.
I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to do a front & back cover for the book (possibly on heavier card stock and then laminate it) so it would not get messed up going around the parks each day. I thought of using D rings to help the pages flip easier. Then I was in Staples yesterday and saw these small 3 ring binders (maybe about 5x8 in size). It's a little bigger than a regular autograph book (and I'll probably carry them in between the characters), but I thought it would give me enough space to decorate and still have room for the autograph and photo. Do you think it would look funny if the pages are hole-punched? Any other drawbacks I'm not thinking of? Thanks!

I may not be understanding what you are asking but if you are going to take their completed autograph book apart and put it in a scrapbook with other photos and just use those pages on your 12x12 scrapbook page, you have 2 options...1)Trim the holed area/strip b4 you adhere it to your 12x12 page or just leave as is since there is actually a punch to make paper look like it has been torn from a composition book. Sorry if I misunderstood what you are asking...and just make sure characters just sign on the front of each page, we have had in the past characters turn the book over and sign on the back of the prior character. Good luck!

sorry if I wasn't clear. I want to make their autograph books scrapbook style, decorated with disney designs, paper, stickers, etc. and have a space for autographs and their photo with the character. I don't want the books to be plain with just the autograph and nothing else in the book.
So once the trip is done, their autograph book is kind of like ttheir own character scrapbook. It's just that all the "scrapping" is done before we leave. I would not be taking anything apart to put in a 12x12 scrapbook. All of teh pages would stay in the small binder. I just didn't know if it would look funny with the paper being hole-punched. Hopefully this makes sense.

Gotcha! I have done both. I have left the hole punched paper in the 3 rings like you are talking about and just added the photo to the album after we got home (actually I am a little anal so I took a portable photo printer from Epson with us and just used my memory stick to print those special pics each night so the book was done as we went. Only did this once as I am usually dog tired at night cause we GO in the parks from open to close...lol! Anyway I have also waited til I got home to add pics and NO the holes do not look bad since that is the way your book is bound...BUT cut a piece of cardstock as a mat for where you want the pciture to go and either write with acid free pen or use a sticker that says place photo here so character will NOT sign there. I also found that added a say 3x5 card on the opposite side where you DO want the character to sign helps to keep them in a spot and you can pre scrap around the auto card and the photo. Just my 2 cents
HAve fun with your project!

Great. Thanks for the replies. I'm excited about making this for them. Want to get started early so they'll be done well before the trip. I don't want to be rushing at the last minute to get them done.
Now the hard part: figuring out which characters to scrap pages for!
