Yay for getting back on track with a great run! I'm a 1:1 run-walker too and I found that switching it up lately to include longer/shorter intervals helped me over my winter slump. Quote:
We'll then stay until Tuesday afternoon, so we can get in at least one park day on Monday. Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

OMG...thanks Princessontherun for teaching us how to use multiple quotes. This is much easier!

In Friday, home Monday. If all goes well with weather and flights, I have an 11AM ressie for my family at Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge for a deliciously carbo-loading breakfast if anyone would like to join. It would freak my DH out a bit, but hey. It would be fun to see folks. OK. I'm dumb. How do I upload photos? When I hit the picture icon with the little mountain, it asks me for the url of my image. I just have the pics in iphoto. |

We get in Friday evening, need DH to work Friday and get the kids home from school then leave. I am flying home Wednesday. DH has to fly to St. Louis on Monday, but will fly back to Orlando Monday night. We will do parks again Tuesday, then he flies to San Francisco, and I fly home.

Thursday afternoon through Tuesday night. I will hopefully be changing my flight in to mid day if they drop the price. My running buddy has to leave Monday 7:00am for a conference, so she if arriving at noon on Thursday now. Quote:
Has anyone made their own running skirt out the sparkle material? It looks like it would be a simple circle skirt pattern. I have some remanent fabric, I might give it a shot. I bought toule to make a tutu, but am not sure I really want that. Sigh, too many things to consider.

I just got a sparkel skirt for the 5K. for me I would spend more money trying to make it then just buying it.
My group and I are going to be Tink and Friends for the 5K. I am Iridessa. I have a gold sparkel skirt. Any ideas on what to wear on top? |

I had a hard time figuring it out too...when I finally asked for help, someone pointed me to a DIS link that had a step by step instruction. Sorry, I have no clue where it is! But basically, what you have to do is upload your photo to an image hosting website...the instructions I used at the time suggested Photo Bucket so that's what I use now. Once you do that, each photo you upload there will show several different codes (links) for that pic that you can click on to copy...for this website, chose the IMG code, copy it and then paste it in the box on this website that asks for the URL. Beware though, I normally have to go in Photo Bucket and edit the pic to resize it, otherwise the pic that posts here is ginormous. If you try it, just preview the post before you submit the post and you'll be able to see if it worked or not. Maybe someone else here knows where that thread is that explains how to post photos? Or maybe there's an easier way that I'm not aware of?

We fly in on Thursday and fly out on Wends. Planning to get the family on east coast time before we leave California. That should be really interesting

She says you can make it in 15 minutes but because I don't sew well, it took me a lot more than that. Has anyone been following the Marathon Weekend thread? Looks like they're in for a little bit of warmer weather for their races this weekend. Hope we have cooler weather! Holly |

Wooooohooooo!!
Did 8 miles this mornings with almost no pain. Finished in 1 hour 35 minutes. I had to do some walking but I'm fine with that. I've had several injures in the past few months and I wasn't sure if I was even going to get to do the PHM. But thanks to Physical Therapy and lots of PT Tape, I'm back baby!! |

Congratulations on feeling the groove again! I'll get to WDW sometime the Thurs. before and leave sometime the Tues. after. (Driving from Tampa Bay area, so no firm times - I'll just check Google traffic before hitting I-4 and go from there!) Quote:

This Floridian Princess just isn't able to handle the chilly mornings. But based on my 20 years in Fl, I'd say temps in the 40s or 50s at race start are far more likely than what we've got going now. Even if it is like this week, trust me - it's not hitting 80 until later in the day; mornings are still comfortable and it's really the afternoon sun that makes it feel warm, so early morning won't be bad.
