I ran 2 years ago, I was in B. At that time, I has a proof of 2:30 half, I now have a proof of 1:45 half. The race has also gotten much larger since two years ago, so take that as it is, I am probably C, male with a 1:45 proof. Though that won't correlate with the ladies numbers as I would normally be in A with that time, so I may be at what is considered the front of the cut off for C out of B.

Mine is 10020. I could run hard at the local 10K this weekend, and I'd probably move up one corral. I don't think it's worth the risk of injury so close to the PHM, especially since I've been sick.

Do you think they'll add more corrals, or make them bigger? I have seen individual numbers up to nearly 22000, meaning 2750 individual runners in each corral...that would also make the breakdown look like this:
*These are not official in any way and are only my guesses based on number of people divided by 8, as the breakdown for last year was the 18000 divided by 8 per corral* Up to 2750 would be A 2751-5500 would be B 5501-8250 would be C 8251-11000 would be D 11001-13750 would be E 13751-16500 would be F 16501-19250 would be G 19250-22000 would be H Do you think they'll do that, or add a corral? Either way, it makes me feel better about my 11668, so it looks I'll either be an E or have more corrals behind me if I'm in F....

Hmm, I might have to run that one, too. LOL, about your bib number. Yeah, others were confused about the 30000 numbers, too! Hopefully corral placements will come out soon. Have you heard anything about this race? Good? Bad?

Did you register as a team? It appears the teams start at 30000

I think the general hypothesis is the 30k numbers are team...did you register as a team? If so, don't worry, you'll still be placed according to your time. Previously all 20k bib #'s were teams...we're thinking the individual #'s went over 20k this year, so 30k's are the new team #'s.

I'm 11494 but I have a new 10K time to submit that should move me up a tad bit. If it doesn't, I'm still ok with that!

Thanks for the link! I am bib # 4441, eek! Submitted my time of 2:25. Not sure if I will anywhere close to that, between pictures and my sore foot. Can't wait!

If for some reason you don't end up in the same corral, the faster of the two corrals is allowed to move back to the slower corral on race morning if you want to!

If the numbers roughly correlate to last year, then my assignment isn't too bad (D/E). I think they may have assigned based off my friend's time so I lucked out even though I didn't have one. I'm still going to run the 10-K on the 17th though just in case the corral placement ends up being horrible. Princess Morgan, you asked about the race. I know nothing about it other than that it is the only 10K being run anywhere around here before the PHM. Lol. I signed up only to get myself out of the last corral if that's where I ended up being assigned. It's in Alexandria but not the scenic part. Based on the map, it looks like you run out Eisenhower Avenue and back, which is more industrial. If you decide to sign up, let me know. My friend and I will say hi! And you can feel free to run with us if you're similarly paced (we go around a 13 minute per mile and walk from time to time when we feel like we need to). |
