I have no official time so entered 5:00:01 for the marathon and they put me in corral D. Does anyone know what corral the 4:00 and 4:15 pace team will be in. Or is anyone else in this corral that will be going under 4.

I will add a slightly different perspective on the last corral and a 10 minute pace. You will find the first mile and change a challenge as the course necks down to one lane on an over pass. I have and would suggest a path about a foot off pavement on the left. You will not be the only runner on the grass here. I find it smooth enough to run. Though I do follow just far enough behind the runner in front so that I can see his foot falls and try to hit the same spots. I watch the hips and if one dips I know I need to whoa up. You should be free and open until just after the TTC (mile 4.2) where the course comes back to World Dr. This is again a single lane with a live traffic lane on the right. Stay hard left. this will back up due to the lane but just as much from the steep incline on the other side of the underpass. You will find a sidewalk course left as you near the underpass (under seven seas lagoon). Take the side walk. Use caution in the bottom as there are two metal grates near the bottom and they may feel slick Also, Barney (aka Disney Security) may be at the opposite end of the sidewalk encouraging runners to jump off the sidewalk. Your call as to whether you follow their request. The jump down is 18" or ignore . I have never been challenged for keeping on the walk. (funny, I am really a compliant person, but I did jump up on the sidewalk in 06 and are-stress fractured a tibia) You should be open to kind of crowded in the Magic Kingdom but once you leave the MK, you will hit race carnage from mile 6.5 through 8. Again a single lane but here more runners seem to have spent themselves. Emotionally it is a let down as you leave the MK. Again open up through the cloverleaf exit turn from World to Epcot Dr. Stay on the outer high side of this corner to avoid the slow up. The upcoming series of two overpasses can be worked through, usually course left again. From here it will generally be open. That's how I recall my start in the last corral of the half.

If you push to the front of D, you should be able to get up on pace and keep a 4-415 pace. You will not likely catch the pace teams due to the wave start and the time lost.

Looking at my notes, last year there were 22k and 24k slots for the full and half.

I was wondering the same thing. If there are about 10k Goofy folks and you add that to the approximately 15k full folks, that's 25k on the course on Sunday. Seems like a lot to me. I think the princess had a little over 20k.

D here! Awesome
I was in D for the princess half in 2011 and was able to finish. So I hope D is good luck again for me!

Just got back from the doc. I have pes anserine bursitis and patellofemoral syndrome. I have an appointment on Monday with my podiatrist and hopefully can get a name for a second opinion on my knee. I was given a prescription for physical therapy..but I am skeptical of how much that will decrease the pain.
I was told I can keep running, but the pain is so severe I really can't. Last night I was walking at my job and starting getting shooting pains in my left foot. I haven't run in a week so I have no idea what the problem could be, but I'm basically falling apart.
