Not too much to do today...

Today:
Run to Total Wine Store
Run to Hallmark Store
Water plants
Call Master Condo Insurance about 2013 insurance paperwork (trying to refi home)
Pack for Vero Beach
Go over Turkey day recipes and do any prep work (cooking tomorrow - DH is working on Thanksgiving and we head to Vero on Friday)
Sweep out garage
Scrap

Good Morning Becky!!

Prayers and pixie dust to all those in need..

I'm so excited for today!! DH leaves in a few hours to go get PJ from school!!! She will take her car back now that she got acclimated to college life.. We wanted to make sure she understood even with a car she was NOT running around constantly... She'll be back home about Dec 11 when finals are complete!!

Done a majority of my list already... so what's left for today:

scrap
pick up boys
grocery run for last minute Thanksgiving day needs
finish load of towels
make list for tasks the rest of the week
enjoy dinner with my entire family home

Morning ladies. Only two more days till Turkey Day! And three more till black friday for those who brave the masses!

Tyler got his first official acceptance letter yesterday and a nice hefty merit scholarship to go with it. It's at the school he prefers, but I'm hoping to hear soon from another that I think had a better educational program. Then we can look at finances and see what is going to work. He said he would be very happy at either school. One is more rural and one is more urban, and he liked the urban one better. We will see what happens!

Nan - enjoy having your girl home again! The closer we get to college the more I'm dreading it!

My list is kinda short too.

Only myself up and out today. Boys don't have school and I got to sleep an extra hour today

Yeah for having her home again! I get misty-eyed every time I think about it. I swore I wasn't going to be "that mom" when I send him to college, but its starting already. Ugh!

Clean up kitchen
Grocery store for last few Thanksgiving dinner items and ingredients for a dish for DH to take to work tomorrow
Prep dish for DH's work so that in the morning all I have to do is put it together and bake
Laundry
Work - I close tonight and we're now open until 10. I really don't think we are going to have too many customers after 9 (at least I hope not!), but it still means that I won't get home until close to 11.

Good Tuesday morning!

Laundry is going. Already been to the bank and Joann's (don't send me a coupon for 20% off total purchase and then give me "other exclusions" not listed on the coupon...Grrrrrrrrr).

Figured out my sketch for my first set of pages for the Sketch Swap. Got the paper for that at 5/$1, but not an additional 20% off! I may cut a prototype, or I may just finish my book I really should change the beds and wash the sheets too.

I applied for a new (full-time) job this morning. Fingers crossed. It's time for me to go back full-time. Might as well do it at a college right? Then Morgan (and I!) can go tuition free. I'd like my Master's degree.

Tomorrow will most likely be a short day. No school for M and I think my boss is out for most of the day. He'll likely send me home, especially if we haven't had the heat restored.

Need to get a few things at the store after I get M and go to the library...She wanted calzones for dinner.

Jennifer, I'm sorry they gave you a hard time to use the 20% of coupon... Must be they considered it a "doorbuster" sale???? I know the coupons I got the other day in the mail says not for "doorbusters"... Although today's sales I don't consider doorbusters.. they were daily deals...
How was M doing last night?? Did they talk??


Danielle, congrats to your DS... Tell him to make his list of pros/cons.... dorm likes/dislikes... food plan, room plans, degrees... weigh all the options.. We made DsS21 do this.. he had a spread sheet he and his Dad and I went thru with a fine tooth comb... He ended up picking a school that suits him well... the other one in the running got shot down when the brochures were a 500% difference then the actual campus... He said the campus looked like it was never taken care of...
We did the same w/ DD...but DD was determined where she was going to school.. she wasn't so wishy-washy like DsS was.. he was all about the name of the school not the quality of education... Quality of education won w/ DsS and DD...

Cheryl, safe travels to Sarah!!! I know you'll be glad to have her home!!!

To everyone else... travel safe if you are going anywhere!!! Remember bread and milk.. you'll need extras!!!

Alright, time to kick DH out the door to bring my baby home!!! Move it man!!!!

I specifically looked at the coupon, it did not exclude "Doorbusters" nor did it say "other exclusions apply." In fact, I used a 25% off coupon last week with a doorbuster (Muppets no-sew throw for Morgan). Corporate was not very helpful when I called. I'll take it up with the store manager the next time I'm in there. Granted, it was not a huge amount of money, but it is the principal of the thing and I'm a really good customer there.

Morgan and the boy spoke at school and everything was fine. But, he was being rather short to her by text (who knows what else was going on at the same time?) last night.

I think (in all my grand wisdom!), that someone made him think that if he's nice to her, she's going to think he 'likes' her. They're just friends, they should just be friends, and he should just be nice to her...He'll figure out that he 'likes' her sooner or later

Well I thought I would make Drew potato chips for lunch and then gave him some peaches. He usually makes a big mess. I have him a bath and figured he can play for a bit ( he usually has a quick bath) well I looked away for a minute and he pooped in the tub. DH not very happy. At least he was still in the baby tub inside the big tub.

The chips came out good though.

Glad Morgan and the boy are talking. My dd13 isn't boy crazy yet. Not looking forward to that.

Good Afternoon my friends...

for everyone who is having loved ones come home or who are traveling to visit loved ones and everyone who is celebrating anything.. to anyone who needs a big one right now as well..


My DD will be home (well her dad's) late tonight 10ish, I'll see her tomorrow..

My list again is pretty short
work - I'm on my lunch break now - eating a PB & Fluff on white bread not so healthy but it sure taste yummy
get DS up for School via text
when out of work stop at LSS
Pick up DS from Hockey practice at 3:45 - I think?? waiting for text from DS on whose house he is riding bus to and where he is sleeping tonight since there is no school tomorrow
home to relax before dinner - Hubs is making Chicken Parm for me and him if DS is home he'll get homemade chicken tenders and plain pasta
rest of the night -- not sure, if DS is gone for the night then I might scrap if he is home then we'll watch some TV together. (maybe Black Hawk Down)

I really have no prep for thanksgiving but I can't wait to get out there on Black Friday, I'm not on the hunt for anything really but just want hopefully save some money on the stuff I do get..
