After many years of denial, Kelly Preston has opened up and admitted that their late son, Jett, had autism.

This is very interesting since there were rumors since Jett was quite small that he was autistic. The family consistently denied this.

Sue, thanks for sharing this. I have no idea why she's discussing it now, after denying it for so many years.

I've always admired celebrities like Dan Marino, Holly Robinson-Peete and Jenny McCarthy for being open and trying to help other families living with autism.

I don't think they are over their denial. I saw a a commercial for a talk where she says he was coming out of his autism

I heard that she will be The Doctors tomorrow.

I agree. It does not sound like they at over their denial.
I think one of the reasons may be that Scientology doesn't accept conditions like autism.

I read an article about this interview earlier and how she blamed antibiotics, food poisoning, chemicals in food and the environment. Moreso, I don't see why she'd bother bringing this all up again unless she was fully ready to accept things.

I think she is staring something with organic foods - just a guess.

Marketing, publicity, the need to blame others for their son's condition - that's all I can see in this article. How are they going to explain away the genetic factor in all of this?
