Hollywood/LA Hotels
Hey everybody!
So I'm visiting several places in North/South CA next summer, thanks for all your previous advice you all gave quite a while back. Everything all booked now and just trying to tie up California Really stuck on hotels! Basically I'm going to be in LA, Visiting Hollywood for a couple of days, Six Flags Magic Mountain one day, and Venice Beach another. Any suggestions on where would be the best location to stay? I started to look at Hollywood but boy hotel prices are expensive. Seen a couple around ten miles from Hollywood but I really don't know a lot about the area so don't know if they are good places. Can anyone suggest a nice/safe area that would be cheaper.. with easy access to Hollywood?? |

We're doing pretty much the same thing. We're going to stay at the Sheraton Universal. It's supposed to be pretty close to Hollywood and apparantly theres a metro if you don't have a car. There are other hotels close to universal. A Hilton next door to the Sheraton I believe.

Locations
I can recommend the Universal area. Good deals can be had there sometimes.
Another area I've had really good luck in is right around LAX. There are some business class hotels that can be a bargain, especially on weekends and/or via Priceline. Parking is usually expensive though. Just remember that LA is spread out. It seems I always put a ton of miles on when I am there no matter where I stay. If you want to keep driving to a minimum you might need to bite the bullet and pay more to get the location you want. |
