Remy @ Les Chef de France

I understand at an animatronic Remy makes an appearance at Le Chef de France a few times a day. Does anyone know when will be a good time to catch Remy at the restaurant? Thanks.

REMY Info:

1) Inside Les Chefs de France.
2) Monday-thru-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm
3) Visiting
. . . he usually comes out right on schedule
. . . the cart makes one trip around the eatery
. . . you must wait until he comes to your table *
. . . you cannot get up and go over to him, handlers guard him
. . . if you miss him, he does not make a second trip
. . . you must wait for the next scheduled time
. . . if your ADR is near a scheduled time, be early
. . . you may not be seated on time, and will miss him
. . . you might be in line waiting for a table when he appears
. . . if so, you wait for the next scheduled trip

* If people gathered around the cart, it would clog the aisles. Guests
might be pressing their shorts against another guest's tabletop and
food (yuck, gross). Also, he's temperamental and occasionally doesn't
appear at all - and without prior notice. Could be technical glitches or even
absenteeism. There are times he breaks down during the tour and has
to stop visiting. So don't overly promise the little ones.

Here is Remy's schedule:

Inside Les Chefs de France.
Monday-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm

Note that these times are the time he enters the dining room, and he makes one circuit and leaves. You would need to plan so that you are seated before he enters the dining room.

Also make sure you don't reserve on a Sunday, he doesn't appear on Sundays.

He is very cool to witness! Very interactive - he sang me happy birthday in French!

He is really cool...a very nice subtle attraction.

But you can tell that the staff are absolutely mortified by him...take a look at some of their faces when they roll him through.

EPCOT sometimes isn't as much of a cultural exchange as Disney likes to think

...especially when you ask 22 year olds to sling what they probably consider to be low quality food at exhorbinant prices and roll a toy around the restaurant to sell DVDs.

It is well worth the time and effort to see him - up close and personal

The persons who actually roll Remy around the restaurant aren't servers in the restaurant, they're actors employed by Disney.

As for whether or not the staff thinks it's silly, that's up to them, but hopefully it doesn't affect their service.

Of course its and actor...as evidenced by the horrible, stereotypical french accent.

He looks so cute! I'm going to try to include Les Chef de France in my ADR list just so we can try to meet him. fingers crossed!

I always think that real french people sound like they are faking their accent; there's just something about it

Remy is cute but he makes his rounds *quickly*. I think it's nice if you catch him but I would definitely not tell the kids until he actually shows up. Otherwise, it might be disappointing.

We saw him last week. We were sitting in the glass enclosed sunroom and he and his handler just rolled up to the table and surprised us! The kids didn't know what to think as we were still looking at the menus. He stayed about 1 minute. He was very cute but he was there and gone in a blink!

We got to see him twice at the same meal last year! We sat and he was a few tables away, so he came over right away. He made another pass through the dining room and got us just as we were finishing.

My son has autism and he was calling him "Ratatouille" He kept saying "Hi Ratatouille" over and over with a huge smile on his face. It was his favorite movie at the time

Gee, luckily my gkids aren't sharp enough to be put off by a "fake" French accent 'cause they LOVE Remy---especially the youngest who was only 18 months when he saw Remy last. Oh wait--that's ME--I love Remy, too!!
And the handler is an actor???? Who knew

FWIW, Chefs is one of our "must do's"--fake French and all---geesh---next someone will try to tell me that the Eiffel Tower in the France Pavillion isn't the real one

My kids adored him. The only thing is the handler we saw both times was seriously fast and curt.

My dd absolutely loved Remy and our Remy 'server" was hysterical! We had a 1:30ish lunch ADR, I think.
