Can somebody whose already done the DCP tell me more about Chatham vs Vista Way. I'm not 21 yet but I still wanna be able to party now and then. Does Chatham ever have anything going on or is it really only Vista?
And for ppl going this spring for their first time like me, where are you staying and why? Thanks |

All of the people my dd knew who got kicked out for partying were at Patterson and Chatham, so Vista does not have some sort of long-term monopoly on partying.

I'm looking into staying in Patterson just because the majority of what I've heard about it is that it's the quietest of the three complexes. My second choice would be Chatham if I can't stay at Patterson.

Thanks for posting this. Everyone acts like staying at Vista would be a Fast Pass out of the CP, but like everything in life...it's all about the choices one makes!

Cool, I'm just not sure how close each complex is from each other and if I'd have to bring my car to drive from chatham to vista and vice versa for a party lol. But if there's good times at all 3 then that's perfect

For me, I plan on staying at Patterson for several reasons, but here's my main 3.
1) It's the newest complex out of the three (I'm not including the Commons, since that's supposed to be for International Cast Members). Even if I'm not in my apartment a whole lot, I would like having a newer, nicer place that has more amenities. Plus, for a 3 bedroom at Patterson, it's only a $1 more than a 3 bedroom at Chatham! 2) I've heard (and I'm not sure if it's true or not!) that a Chatham 3 bedroom may NOT have 3 bathrooms; instead, it may just be a 2 bath, but you won't know until you get placed in the apartment. With Patterson, you WILL HAVE 3 baths for a 3 bedroom. 3) I'm bringing my car, and 4 out my 5 roomies are bringing their cars as well, so we will not have to worry about the bus situation (though I've heard from former CPS that the best place to catch the bus is at Vista, because that's where the buses leave from). As far as the 'party' thing goes, I've heard that parties can really happen at any complex; they just happen to be more prominent at Vista. I'm a Non-wellness apartment, so I was just concerned with rooming with non-wellness as well. Since the apartments are under new management, I've heard they've become more strict on partying/underage drinking. |

Chatham is actually really nice, and there is a bus stop directly in front of Chatham. Vista Way is too far to walk, but the busses stop at both places.

As for Chatham vs Vista, there is no contest, Vista has more/better parties. Part of the reason, and this is purely hearsay, was because security was much more strict about the parties at Chatham and Patterson.

I can speak on both Chatham and Patterson Court apartments as I lived in both during my CP.
When I first arrived I lived at Chatham Square in building 7 and I had 6 roommates (counting myself) and we had a three bedroom. It was nice and relatively clean when we moved in. Pretty spacious too! The balcony wasn't bad and we had little to no walk to the laundry facilities (they were right outside our building on the first floor). I LOVED security over at Chatham, they were pretty good and pretty cool guys. Over at Patterson, which is where I lived during the last half of my program ( I requested a move/change of apartments during my program. long story) it was super nice. Granted its a bit newer than Chatham. I lived there in building four which is in the back of the complex. Same number of roommates. The apartment space was a bit smaller than chatham but still had enough room for us all to spread out and not feel like we were on top of each other. Let me break it down Chatham Square Pros: Bus stop located right outside the complex gates Spacious apartments Conveniently placed laundry facilities. Some of the Disney Learning Series classes take place here. Quiet CP graduation was here Good security Close access to Publix (the supermarket). Cons: Apartment may need some extra TLC when you move in. Depending on where you live in the complex, parking can be a BEAR if you have your own car. laundry room would have a ton of little bugs and lizards running amuck due to the door being constantly open (or just no door at all) Patterson Court Pros: Newer Facility Updated kitchens felt very "cozy" laundry facilities are air conditioned and have doors to separate the laundry area from the outside world. AWESOME pool Parking was conveniently located to the building I lived in. decently quiet Cons: Does NOT have their own bus stop (you have to walk from Patterson to Chatham in order to catch the bus). Can fill up quickly due to being newer and popular. Pantry space was rather small (compared to chatham) Carpets are a weird texture therefore it made cleaning spills rather difficult. Thats all I can think of for now. Feel free to ask me any more questions and I can post more as I think of stuff.

I lived on the 2nd floor at Patterson and the stairs weren't that bad at all (I too have knee issues as well as back problems). The ones at Chatham were a bit of a hike though (lived on the third floor there and you can imagine move in day, laundry day, and grocery days were very interesting!).
