Talking Saratoga 2014 v 2010

The prices today for 2014 does that include any discount ?

Reason I ask is that it is nearly 4k more than 2010 for eight of us

Although from 2010 to 2014 it may well have gone up so much.

2010 we paid about £87/nt. 21 nights = £1827
2014 after discounts and cashback £160/nt = £3360
Room (Studio) up £1500 for 3 of us plus any ticket increases.
Lets say up £550pp x 8 = £4,400

We are looking at SSR also,

Just priced it on the wdt site and I was in shock!!!

For 2 bed 21 nights its £6300 and something!
That's without tickets!! Or flights!

We paid last October for 6 of us,
In a 2 bed with 14 day tickets plus free DDP £4800! I knew it would go up but I can't believe they now want £8900 odd for the exact same trip exact same time and that's not even a yr later!

I think i should probably leave the WDTC website alone and go to bed! I assume the OKW discounts are on now because I just priced up our dates for OKW and it is coming up slightly cheaper than POFQ I'd love to stay at OKW but not being able to downgrade to QSDP is a dealbreaker for me.

Really not sure what to do. Maybe get some sleep and it will all look different in the morning

April is my back up for our planned june dates, and coming out very marginally cheaper than June at the moment.

I also found it strange so either OKW discounts have been loaded and they are really good, or the offers and discounts are still being adjusted as many on here suspect. I have not been back on today to re-price, but I did it over and over last night checking everything as it made no sense to me either.

However DD does not want to stay at OKW, she wants POFQ

I wish Disney would not make split stays with the DDP so blooming difficult!

I can't speak for as far back as 2010, but our trip in 2012 was more than our trip for 2013, we paid £5600 in 2012, £5200 in 2013. Looking at the 2014 prices yesterday, 2014 is £400 more (for 2 adults 1 child) than it was for 2013.

Hi Wayne

We cannot decide to go next year or year after but thought price things up.

Last time flew bristol to Sanford with first choice but after this year no longer from bristol.

Which has got me thinking of in direct. I think bristol to Dublin then over to Florida.

How much do you think we would pay if did this.

Accomodation wise really wanted disney

Would be three weeks end July or August. Normally have be back for around 1 September

Eight of us. Might as well class us as eight adults. Happy for one accomodation type or split.

Close to disney, somewhere safe, nice choice restaurants nearby. be nice have small kitchen and washer dryer.any thoughts or approx prices be fab to get the ball rolling again

Another option is go in direct if prices good to pay the disney extra. Ah!

Last time it was just perfect

Thank you as always

Hi Cindy.I decided to get back onboard as Richard is very keen to go back so striking whilst the iron is hot as they say The weather was excellent till the last 3 days where it was quite windy and overcast. Also some heavy rain but was not cold and would not have stopped any days out planned. The day we left it was glorious again. After september/oct it would probably be my favorite time. Wanted to go back the same time next year but it falls over the easter period so thats why we are looking at earlier or later. So far I am not upset but then I was not well the last 5 days with a chest infection so kinda put a downer on it. I normally take ABX with me as a precaution and have never needed them but hey ho. Where are you thinking of staying?

The last few times we have done split stays so Im used to it now but we both fell in love with wilderness lodge and really wanted to stay this time but Im glad we did BLT as it was a total contrast.OKW is lovely and have stayed there 3 times. Never stayed at POFQ but visited when we went to POR and found it very peaceful and a good CS court.
The only reason I would not go June is the weather. There is a higher chance of rain.My friend has been twice due to her job and has had rain for a lot of her stay. Obviously each year is different like here and you have to go when best for you and DD. Will it be just the 2 of you?

Since you will have a car and are going for a decent amount of time, have you priced up a split stay, even if just with the first week onsite (ideally you want to start there so you can activate your park tickets) and then a villa afterwards, so that you can at least have some Disney time? Doing onsite split stays if you want the DDP is a pain in the butt cost wise, but if you split with offsite there are no real disadvantages in that respect.

It's just DD and I in a room, yes, so for booking purposes it's just for 2. The reason I am leaning to June rather than April is that we have done April (loved it) but we are then tied to the school hols and can only go for 14 nights, whereas with June, I don't mind DD missing the last couple of days at school as they won't be doing much of anything except socialise (our schools close in late June for the summer) which leaves a lot of room to play with and I also want to be there 4th July. I did wonder if the prices were higher purely because we are going in summer time but when I ran a quote for the dates we did last year, same number of nights in september, it still came up £1000 more

I really want to do a split stay but the DDP/tickets make it a deal breaker I am actually considering renting DVC points for part of our stay but never looked into it and not sure how secure I feel about booking that way
