Closing delay

I got a call from the broker and was told that the buyer wired the money, so hopefully I'll hear tomorrow that we have closed!

Has anyone had this happen to them ? I called DVC MS to see where I was at in the system. My paperwork had been sent to them on the 10th. Was hoping they'd give me my info over phone.Instead they said "oh that contract closed in August" Since I didn't make an offer even until Sep 10 this made me nervous.He then put me on hold came back and told me contracts take 2 weeks to put in system.That would be next week the 24th. Well it turned out that seller had done a title name transfer in August. That was the confusion. Disney got back to me today and said paperwork is done and package sent on Friday.Just a couple more days to sweat the details!Thanks all who tried to talk me off the ledge.

You don't need to wait for any package, call MS and give them your info. They will give you the info you need over the phone.

They just told me points will be in my account by the time I recv letter ?Maybe they aren't really done yet ??

If you are in a hurry to make any reservations with your new points, call back tomorrow and instead speak with Member Administration, same phone number, different menu choice.

Called twice today and they refuse to give member # over phone. Have to wait for "the letter" Ease my mind by saying plenty of 2br will be available @OKW Memorial wknd.

Option #1 is MS, #2 is Administration. If you are in the system, MS can look you up, give them your SSN to search by.

My guess is that Administration is tired of new resale buyers calling. They may have instituted a new policy of not giving out any info. We have never received anything but our member ID in the mail when buying resale.

OK I tried once more and still nothing. MS told me to contact my broker(he seemed unsure of himself) I did and she called who she normally works with at Disney and there is a new policy in place of not giving new members their numbers until they get that "letter". Done trying hope the letter comes soon.

Ooooooh that's a bummer. We closed on 10/17 and was hoping I could call at the end of the week to get my number. Itching to start planning vacations! Thanks for the update on your experience.

Great timing for new rules right ! I closed on the 11th so tomorrow is 2 weeks.Up to this point everything was fast and smooth. I'll post the moment I get my "letter"

Ours closed on 10-18 so we too are waiting for that coveted letter. Does it come as an e-mail or by regular mail?
