New Offers/Free Dining Coming?!
So, I called again tonight to make some adjustments to our reservation and check to see if we had a PIN. No pin.
![]() ![]() ![]() But...I asked the CM if she thought any new offers would be out for January/February even though the S/P/D offer was out. She paused and almost said in code, "Yes, you can expect something soon regarding that". I said, "for my dates?" She said "yes, Disney has not rolled out all offers. The first offers came out October 10th and you can expect more soon". Hmmmm, that was pretty darn specific. I have found that CM's are pretty naive when it comes to spilling info and they hold back. This CM seemed pretty forthcoming. Thoughts? I sure hope she knows something.....free dining would save our family another $500!!! |

Oooooh I hope she is right! A blog post today on Chip and Co is hinting at the same thing.

I am hoping for a better AP rate so we can save a little more on our Poly stay. Crossing my fingers for all those looking for different offers.

I just called to see if I had any pins for summer. CM said no, but to check back between Halloween and Christmas for discounts. She said they often send pins out at that time b/c bookings are slow then. Sounds like she has no idea if any discounts are coming.

When I was on with the CM discussing my ressie and whether I should go through my AAA agent to save an extra 15% on park tickets (10% on room), he said hold off because he was almost sure that something better would be coming along for my dates, 4/15 - 4-22.
I hope he's right.

FD wouldn't save us much over the p/s/d because we are only 2 adults and we are upgrading to the DxDP. However, it's more money in my pocket!!!

If free dining came up, I think we would definitely switch considering $400 is a decent amount of money. |

We are booked at AKL but I've been thinking about switching to POFQ because of the savings and the amount of time we'll actually be at the resort (very little). If FD comes out it might be the push I need to make the switch because then we'd be right at $2,000 for our trip and that's a nice round number that in my head feels like we saved a lot (even though we'd save a lot by switching to POFQ now)...it's silly logic I know!!

That Disney is going to release a FD offer "soon"...I don't see it happening because why offer p/s/d, which is probably less of a savings for the majority of people than FD. It seems odd to me that they'd release both. However, there seems to be opinions circulating that FD will be offered. Time will tell...

We're waiting on FD for my S-I-L's family of 4. While s/p/d saves $100 (on the entire trip) for them over 35% off RO, FD would save them another $500+ on the entire trip. |

We would love FD for January.. we need a really good discount to make this trip a definite 'go,' and that would be the best discount for our family of 5. Fingers crossed!

That being said, I am thinking of switching to POFQ. POFQ is also only a 5% RO discount so the p/s/d is the better deal there as well. If FD comes out then I think that will push me to make the switch because then I could bring the total vaca price to $2,000 and that just seems like a great deal. I know I'd be saving a chunk of change making the switch now...but there's just something about hitting the nice round $2,000 mark versus say $2,300 mark that makes the switch worth it...silly logic I know!
