Looks like we may have a few of us to start out! I always get to the start early and try to get seated toward the front of the corral. I can save you a seat if you want to start out together.

Terapin, I think ultimately you are planning to go a bit faster than me. Do you want to start out together in E and then you can go faster if you need too? |

I'd like to join but I'm in F, and like someone else, I do not want to move backwards. I need all the buffer i can get from the balloon ladies!

I've really thought this over, as meeting up and running with this group would be fun. But since I am in D, I better stay there in case I need the buffer too, though i am still trying to finish in under 7 hours. I have just been running so inconsistently! I submitted proof of time, which got me into corral D. But I haven't seen those times in quite a while. I probably will start near the back of D or even E. If I am seeing any faster times on race day, I would really like to stop for some pictures. So I still think I may finish in the 6 to 7 hour range regardless.
Maybe we can post back here after the event to see how everyone did, what our experiences were like. |

I think I would join a pacer group if I saw it...I am in G but the person I am 'running' this with is in H for whatever reason. If we see you then we might join along....for the full.

Not to worry, as already said. You've got to run your own event. Even for those of us in the same corral, we may hang out and enjoy company while waiting. Once the bibs cross the start, you've got to go with what works for the day. I never can predict and at the time, I do what works. MY DS is my "escort" and goes whatever pace I set. For those of us on the edge, you cannot be adjusting your pace to one that you may regret as the distance builds. (Too much to fast)
I might go slower, and if I've got it after halfway, then move on with what is left. I cannot ever predict. If it is playing out to be a warmer day, I always try to front end my pace because it is cooler. I will slow it as the heat builds. Event day looks like it will be warmer than I like so my pace may be 14-15 starting then 15-16 as the sun rises. If you are hanging out at the finish, WISHers usually wait by the W in the family reunion area. I will look for you there. Come up for high fives and hugs all around. I will definitely be there late since I am planning on using most of the time available. Don't be shy, say hello. Don't stress, look for the fun. It's Disney! |
