A big big thank you!!

We just took our *first* trip to Disneyworld with our kids 12,10,7, and 1.5 in April!! I just wanted to give a BIG thank you to the DisBoards for helping us save a TON of money, and help us with the MANY tips to help us have a wonderful, magical experience first experience!

The things I owe to the Boards:

Windsor Hills- $700/wk total for our family of 6!! (Will try Bonnet Creek next time for more of a resort feel, though- didn't like cooking and cleaning so much on vacay lol)

Orbitz Disneyworld tickets-5 days for the price of 3!! (my only regret: I didn't go through ebates *facepalm*)

Minivan Rental-$263/wk!!! through Budget thanks to two amazing codes found on the transportation board (again: forgot to go through ebates :P)

Restaurant.com certificates-Used coke rewards to purchase (FREE TO ME!) didn't end up using, but they don't expire....

Couponing to Disney-thank you for pointing me there, she has great money-saving ideas! GCs, deals, etc.

All the MANY MANY tips for watching parades; watching Illuminations, Wishes, Fantasmic, etc; using FastPass/Babyswap, First Visit Buttons, Turkey legs lol. We had some FANTASIC interactions and experiences I don't think we would have gotten otherwise!! Thank you thank you for helping to make it a really wonderful, magical first experience for my kids!!

AND lastly, I'll never forget finding the DisBoards on bedrest with the little one, and how it made the time go by quicker, and eased anxiety as I dreamed and planned to take my family to Disney!! We finally got to do it when he was 1 1/2! And here's to many more trips...Thank You!!!

Aaah, thanks guys! Payin' it forward... scrapbooksellman: We got House of Blues (in downtown Disney), Giraffe Cafe (at Royal Plaza hotel on Hotel Blvd-on property, I believe), and Giordano's (nearest location I knew of was on W Irlo Bronson Hwy-close by on the way to Windsor Hills from Disney...) Maybe other DisBoards veterans know of others. I didn't plan exactly where to eat each day, so we never ended up being in the right place or time for the certificates.

Glad to hear you had such a great time and saved money!! Are you on a coupon train? I am on The one run by ShiPooOwner and it has saved us a bundle.

To the PP...... Restaurant.com used to have a Shula's certificate. Not sure if they still do. Be sure to go through shopathome for cash back, sometimes it is up to 52% cash back!
