I don't think they have explicitly spelled out and defined small. But let's be honest here, how much of a difference in hazard is there between a 4 cup vs 8 cup vs 12 cup coffee maker? I really think a 12 cup coffee maker is acceptable as they still have a regular 2 prong plug. I do think that is as big as I would go though...
This is just all my opinion. I do think they have left this open for their own protection. So they can choose to request the removal of an item they feel is unfit or unsafe. Good Luck!!

On line check in will not affect your package details at all. It siimply allows you to provide information in advance that would normally be asked in person and allows you to go to the "on-line" check in line as opposed to the regular line (in theory providing you a faster process). Once provided with your room key/ticket, you will be able to upgrade your ticket.

I stayed at Pop time before last that we went to the World and I talked so highly about it that my husband wanted to try it out too (i came with my little sister). Hellloooo JavArmy!! Nice to "see" you back on the POP thread. That's awesome that you are planning to surprise them!! Hopefully you and/or DH can record your parents unveiling the big reveal!

We spent the first 2 nights of the trip in a cars suite at AoA and then moved over when we started the parks on Monday. We did the switch to mostly save money when no free dining was offered for our week. We also knew we would not spend much time at the resort once we started the parks on Monday and we were right.

In fact, my wife and 2 boys never saw the food court , arcade, or even the welcome area. Each day was got up, ate breakfast in room, got to rope drop and return and go to sleep. We stayed next to Lady and went swimming on our AK day at night while mom did some laundry but that was the extent of the "visiting the resort" So it worked out and the money we saved was worth the switch. We planned to also swim Saturday morning before check out but it was too cold.

Welcome back! Happy that POP fit well into your plans....perhaps next time (if there is one ) you will be able to utiilize the resort a bit more, i.e. other pools, food court, arcade...

BTW... how was your stay at AoA?? The Cars Suite is our favorite.

Thanks stitchlovestink. I have a 4 cupper that I was going to bring. I know I am wierd but I love a cup of coffee in the evening and I am very partial to Dunkin Donuts blend.

If I remember correctly (and I am pretty certain about this) you will need to upgrade your ticket at the park window. I have found when it comes to anything FL resident ticket, it cannot be done at the hotel. And don't forget your documents if you aren't using a driver's license. I'm a part timer, so I don't have a FL DL.

We did. We got one and split it into four pieces. The banana cream in the middle was not centered, so one piece had a lot and the others - not so much. So, we took a knife and spread a little on each section. The chocolate cake part was nothing outstandingly tasty, but just normal chocolate cupcake. There were not very many bacon bits, and they really didn't have much flavor. The light peanut butter frosting - now that was the part that made it all good. I have a picture of this one somewhere, but I have 20 bajillion pictures, and I can't remember on which trip we had it.

That is the only one I have had, but I have been thinking about getting another one in March and pay more attention to it this time.

Just back from 6 nights at POP. We were in Building 7--4th floor. No real excess noise issues way out in the boonies. It was quite a hike up to the lobby and Everything POP though and I noticed an odd smell around (I believe) the 8 track tape building.

Especially if you pair it with a diet coke...the chemicals blast the calories into obviation.

About the King... there is very little banana custard, but it's was just right for us...and the candied bacon didn't taste like bacon to us... but still it was all good!!

Yes, Bldg 7 (especially the back section towards the parking lot) have rooms that are the furthest away from Classic Hall.

One year we were in Bldg 8, end room by Bldg 10 (70s) and we found it manageable but not as close as our other stays. A plus, we really liked the computer pool and only went once on that trip to the Hippy Dippy pool.

Did you ever inquire about peculiar odor?

A four cup seems to aptly fit the description of "small" by Disney... and I agree with stitchlovestink comments about Disney characterization of what's acceptable.

Not being a coffee drinker (yes, I am weird in that way ) it seems that "small" would bring to mind a unit less than 12 cup, leaning towards a personal size one.

Just don't bring an industrialized sized one okay?

The 12 cup is the only one we have at home and Im not sure it'd be worth buying a smaller just for the trip vs a refillable mug or something like that.
