POFQ or PORS

Debating...would like 2 bathrooms and waterslides, so that leaves us the family suites, one BR villas @ KV or BT, jr. suite @ CSR or a two bedroom villa. Ideally wanted jr. suite CSR, but it's booked :-( no slides at value resorts, so family suites are out. and don't want to drop the cash to stay at any of the villas. Stayed at CBR two stays ago, so would like to do something new and there is no availability at CSR. I think this leaves us with two connecting rooms at Port Orleans - or am I missing another resort option? Or would it be cheaper to stay in a one bedroom at BLT? (doubtful, but thought I'd throw it out there :-) If we are left with POFQ or PORS - which one is more favorable? Does one have better ammenities? Which has a better pool area for 3 rowdy boys (11, 9, 7) that love slides? We'd get two connecting rooms...probably preferred location to be close to food, pool, and transportation. Thoughts and opinions please :-)

Check out www.portorleans.org. It's got wonderful information on both resorts. For us, we love POR because there's a huge pool area on Ol Man island, but each area also has quiet pools. Food court is great, arcade area is good sized, and we loved the ability to hop on the boats to DTD or catch buses to the parks. We took a carriage ride around POFQ and decided it was too small to suit us. Look through everything and decide whether you want the Alligator Bayou section or the Mansions section. We've only stayed in the AB in preferred rooms, but plan to branch out next time. The AB preferred rooms are close to the food court, bus loop, Ol Man Island, etc. The room we stayed in Building 14 AB was a connecting room on the 2nd floor even though we didn't need it.

Have fun............enjoy your vacation!

IMO riverside has a better pool. Slide is slightly longer. My kids preferred that pool. QS also has more choices. You have boys? They might like the Gator themed rooms Bayou rooms.
I love the grounds too at RS.

We though Stay at FQ for the sole reason its smaller and easier for my mom To get from a to B. Guests at both can use the ammenities, pools etc.

I've picked up alot from Andre & Venomhatch (I think I've got that right) on the PORS string here. They helped me alot before we did our return trip after 10+ years of being away from PORS.

Enjoy your vacation. It'll be a blast!!

THANK YOU for your help! Are all of the rooms Gator themed at RS? We requested building 14 which is in the AB, would those also be gator themed? and you are right on about my boys going for the longer slide! :-)

Building 14 is in Alligator Bayou so it is gator themed. Close to everything. We were on the second floor overlooking the parking lot. Great room & near the quiet pool too.
