So proud of my dd. She is a junior, majoring in political science. She had an internship with a prominent politician last fall, and he invited her back to do a summer internship.

She'll also work part time at a clothing store in the mall -- the internship pays off in experience, not $$$.

My daughter will finish her freshman year in mid May and starts her summer job as a camp counselor June 1st. She'll work for six weeks and have the rest of the summer at home, vacationing, etc.

My freshman comes home for spring break this weekend and I will be asking him this question. He is usually good about finding something, but I have not heard rumblings at all so I am nervous for him.

Plus I am also job hunting so I can't ride him too much since I'm not having part time luck.

I'm an architecture major, and I'll be doing a summer studio in NYC. I'll also be working for experience, rather than $$$. One day...

My freshman DD got a job at a facility on campus that wants her there over breaks and over the summer, so she will be taking classes and continuing with the same job she's had all this year. This job doesn't have phenomenal pay, but the experience and opportunity are tremendous and she is a lucky, lucky girl.

Working!! She has an interview at the Y scheduled when she is home for spring break. Also DH may have a job for her in his company..I don't care as long as she is working!!

Mine is headed to Alaska with his cousin for the 2nd year in a row. Its a fish company processing fish. I don't ask for the details and he is nice enough not to gross his Mom out. Hoping for a good fish year this time around, last year was bad.

My freshman dd comes home on May 16. Then hopefully we got to go to WDW for a week. Then, early July she heads to the camp she went to from age 10-16. She now works there. Unfortunately, the camp has had to shorten it's time open, so instead of being able to work for 8 weeks, she worked just 5 last summer but this year it looks like she gets 6 weeks. Then home for a few weeks and then back to school.

Those camp jobs don't pay a lot, but they're fun, aren't they?

My older daughter is a nursery school teacher, and this summer she's headed back to the day camp where I sent both girls when they were kids. she'll be working with middle school kids, a big difference from the three year olds she's got in her class right now.

LOL. they are fun. I was a camp counselor at a YMCA camp (camp talcott, upstate ny).

My freshman comes home early May. He worked retail last summer and during the Christmas break. I told the boy to keep in touch with his supervisor over these last months to make sure he can go back in the summer. Here's hoping he listened to his mama!!

We're headed to London and Paris the last two weeks in May, then he'll work the rest of the summer.
