I agree. I am also not sold on this new stay, play, dine promotion. While it certainly is better than nothing and provides enough of a discount to keep staying onsite an attractive option for many WDW guests, it still wouldn't be as nearly great of a discount for my family as free dining would be. I am keeping my fingers crossed for free dining but I won't hold my breath cause like pp mentioned, it really seems like they are changing what type of promotions they are offering and the dates they offer them; and I think the FL expansion has something to do with that. The fact that there isn't a general public free dining offer for Jan/Feb really says a lot.

This is pretty early for August 2013 discounts unless you get a bounceback while you are there. We went this past August and initially had NO discounts for the week we were going, there was FD before and after our dates. Finally, a room only discount came out early summer for our dates. Expect to wait until Spring for any Summer promotions.

We will be going from 8/18-8/31 and have free dining. We will be staying at CBR. I am so excited!

We are also going this December 10-16 with free dining!! Yay!

Can someone please tell me the dates for the August 2013 BB offer? Was that just for FD or did that include the 35%-off RO too?

When/if it's released to the public, is it usually for the same dates?

When did FD start this August?

I'm hoping to book soon and apply the discount if/when it's released without making too many changes to the dates, but we'd prefer to go the week of the 18th than the 25th.

I'd appreciate anything anyone can tell me!

Already boked with the Free Dining Bounceback 8/18-8/26. I'm going to extend the trip til 9/1 (with the free dining if announced or room only). Going back to POR.

I never get lucky enough to get PIN codes that actually work for me (I'm a teacher, so can't take off during the school year), but I actually did! I got a RO offer for 8/11-9/28, and I booked it!

So...nevermind my previous questions. RO works better for us (2) than FD. Good luck to you all!

Subbing. We are hoping to go to Orlando for 12 days and do ALL the parks - we went when DS was turning 5, and want to do the same for DD next year. We already have 3 tickets to US/IOA and will do the Sesame Place Platinum Passports to get in free to Busch, SW, and Aquatica (can't wait to see that!) DS will also want to do LegoLand, so we need to get our WDW stuff in order. I would LOVE to stay onsite with FD and feel drawn to AoA, Pop/Movies, or on the Moderate level, perhaps POR. Crossed fingers!

Free dining is never a good deal for us at Deluxe. Room discount is way better, and pay ing for DDP then free dining. We had a free dining BB in our room this August but passed on it. Last January we got a room discount 35% off deluxe that we used for our Aug 2012 trip at AKL. It was even better then the AP discount that was released for August, because BB had 35% off every day, and AP excludes weekends which were priced at rack rate. I don't think so!!! This was the first time I ever heard of AP rates excluding weekends, so beware.

Would love help or direction for FD or discount for next August!!!! Planning on AKL club level 8/15 to 8/21 (all I could swing) but can rebook for FD or better discount. Any heads up would be greatly appreciated!

There are no specials for FD as of yet. Normally, they do offer it for August, however we usually go the last week when it's offered. I am not sure if the dates you have booked will qualify. Once the FD is announced, you can change your reservations to include it. Hope this helps.

I am so thrilled to have found this thread. We have booked 8/8 thru 8/17/13. I am still trying to learn about discounts and PIN codes. I have some reserach to do it looks like because we have been told there are currently no specials being offered for our dates. Thanks everyone for sharing!
