Yes, 17th. Awwww if you have to do a solo trip in December we'll pal around so you are not lonely! I'm currently booked 12/5-12/12. Dates may adjust slightly depending on Em's schedule but only by a day or two.

Congratulations Brenda!

That was a fun game to jump in to Barb, thanks again!

I just caught up with the thread this morning, before breakfast, and I'm all kinds of hungry now. My DS9 walked by my monitor and said, "Man, those fries look so good! Are they anywhere close to us?" I didn't burst his bubble and tell him they were 4,000 miles away, lol.

I'm just glad that you and your family enjoyed so much great food!

I will definitely work on the "continuous education units" to maintain my status! Our next trip is August (Vicki you'll be there!!) then December where I expect to see some other familiar faces! Oh, and D-land with Linda next week!
I think you should make a spur-of-the-moment end of May trip!

No worries Vicki. I'm pretty sure I'll be flying solo too, and for the first time as well. I just plan to "go with the flow"...geez, I still have that song stuck in my head from the "Finding Nemo" show at Animal Kingdom. Anyway, I'm pretty flexible and have only one must do. I MUST dine at my favorite California Grill, which should be open again by then. Hopefully there will be some others that would be willing to be my dining companions.

The flight schedule (which is not daily) at our local airport to/from Orlando changes seasonally so I probably won't know my exact dates for a few months yet. But I'm guessing the flights will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday. If so then my dates will probably be 12/6 - 12/11.

Plans are definitely in the works, so put it on your calendar. It would be really great to meet you in person.

So far we have Linda (Linda67) and her DH, Brenda & Emily, emmebear & Emme, and hopefully Vicki. These are just the ones I know of, but I'm hoping there will be even more. Can we put you on the "maybe" list Paula?

Oh how I wish! Unfortunately I really don't think my DH would be up for it and I need to spend my vacation time with him. The only reason I am getting to go in May/June is because of the conference. (And I will see my DH in both May and June!) I will keep it in mind though in case something changes!

Just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoy reading this thread daily. We have not visited Disney in about four years and since we now have a trip planned for June 1-8, I have recently been devouring every trip and dining report I could find to prepare myself for all the changes since we last visited. We are not on the dining plan this time and have only made two ADRs, but seeing all the options that are now available beyond table service meals is making me feel a lot better about that. So thanks! Maybe one day I'll do my own dining report-if I can get my family to cooperate with me taking pictures of their food, that is.

We have received our First Update of the Day and it is from Susan (jecskc).

Dining Review - April 2nd

Susan said, "For Breakfast we ate at Sunshine Seasons. DH, DS and I shared the bounty platter. Which we scarfed down and I didnít get a photo. But DD had a cinnamon roll..."

...which she enjoyed. Sometimes these can be dry, but this one was really good."

"For lunch, the kids had nachos at the QS in Mexico. I was off getting something for DH and I, so I was late getting photos."

"DH and I shared the Shrimp and Grits from the Florida Fresh booth at F&G festival..."

"This was really good. It was hot and had a lot of flavor. We really enjoyed this."

"Later, we stopped by the Smokehouse booth in the America Pavilion and had some brisket..."

"This was really good. Some people have been complaining about this being too much fat, but ours wasnít fatty at all and the cornbread had a good kick to it. Very yummy."

"And I had to stop at the booth in France and get a PINK Grey Goose Slushie."

"For dinner we had..."

Liberty Tree Tavern

"Here they serve the Pilgrimís Feast all you can eat.

Rolls, salad, pork, turkey, tenderloin, stuffing, green beans, potatoes, mac and cheese, veggies and apple-craisan cake with ice cream."

"This was OK. The kids ate well and that made us happy. I would go back for the kids, but I prefer the lunch here better. We left full and satisfied."

Ok, I am really going to try to do this! It probably would only be the long weekend, late Friday the 6th thru Tuesday the 10th. Very nervous at the thought of traveling alone but I want to try to make it happen.

And Barb, I would definitely be in for Cali Grille!
