Our first update tonight is again from superchime.


She and her family were at DHS on Sunday and had a snack from...


Starring Rolls Cafe




"Eclair, Butterfinger cupcake, Lemon meringue cupcake (everyone liked this one best), and a Cafe Mocha."




And then they had dinner at...

"Little dude could not get over the fact that he was eating in a CAR!"








"Fried Pickles to start. Yum!"







"Younger DS got a hot dog and 5 fries. He ate the dog but the bun was a bit dry. That's ok, he was eating in a CAR!"







"Disney veggie burger #3."


"The cucumber salad was good."









"Older DS got popcorn chicken and four fries."








"And DH had a burger too...I'm not sure what kind, but not the Picnic burger."

Next we have this update from Kerri (wdwpirates).


She said, "We have not had a good 48 hours. Jim has a horrible head cold. It's been just miserable. But we are back up and running! Here is our update from 2 nights ago (Saturday night) at..."






"I know this place gets mixed reviews but we always have a great time and tasty food. We've had the same server on our last 2 visits. Her name is Lili and I highly recommend her. So if you get her at some point, say hi for us!"



Adult Beverage Menu...














Caveman Punch - Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, banana liqueur, DeKuyper Peachtree Schnapps and tropical fruit juices.


"I always get an adult bevvie here and this visit was no exception. Caveman punch for me! And a simple Budweiser for Jim."

Here's what they chose...






"We went with Onion Rings for an app. Pretty sure these are panko crusted. They are decent, hot and fresh. They are served with 2 dipping sauces...ranch and what tasted like horseradish to us. We preferred the horseradish to the ranch...it had a good kick!"







Footprints Flatbread - Warm flatbread topped with cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan and goat cheese, rotisserie chicken and caramelized onions, drizzled with a balsamic glaze






Side of mashed potatoes


"For my entree I chose the Footprints Flatbread and a side of mashed potatoes. Wow...was that flatbread good!! The caramelized onions and balsamic totally made this a winner. Delicious flavor! The mashed were ok...nothing to write home about."






Boneyard Buffet - Fire-roasted Rotisserie Chicken and Mega Mes-O-Bones served with waffle fries







"Jim ordered the Boneyard Buffet. This came with rotisserie chicken, ribs and 2 sides. He ordered waffle fries and carrots...somehow we ended up with extra waffle fries on top of that! Way too many fries!! LOL!! Jim loved the ribs....I tried a bit and they were very tasty. Good sauce. I also stole a bit of chicken. They do a great job with this...so moist with nice seasoning!"

Then we received tstidm1's final update from his trip, which sadly came to an end yesterday.


He said, "To start my final day at Disney, I decided to do breakfast at The Wave. I had dinner here before, but not breakfast."

"This is the spinach egg white fritatta. It was very well done with good flavors with the veggies (onion and mushrooms) and egg whites. It came with Chicken Sausage (very tasty and flavorful) and toast, which was dry even with condiments."





Then last was a snack update from Magic Kingdom's...






"My final tradition at Disney World is to have a Mickey rice crispy treat fresh from a park.
This one is from Main Street Confectionery.
Having this on the way home and I know their great."

Emily said, "Here are the pastries they serve at breakfast. I had a berry danish, an apple danish, and a cinnamon roll. Mom tried the banana walnut bread and loved it. I wish we'd tried the biscuits, because I remember them being really good."







"We both ordered the stuffed french toast with cream cheese filling, baked apple, caramel sauce and raisins. I didn't like the chocolate version of this at all, and compared to that one, this is alright, but it's nothing incredible."







"Birthday cupcake! Delicious."

"This is the last minute Akershus breakfast my older son wanted me to book. It was fine and the princesses were great but it felt a bit more rushed and crowded than the lunch we did last time. And no Mickey waffles."

Kerri said, "Just the basic Fish & Chips. I will say that it's always hot and fresh here but, there is no substitution for the Fish & Chips inside the pub! Jim and I both enjoyed our lunch though!"





Then Kerri & Jim got some snacks from France's...


Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie

Kerri said, "We selected the Napoleon and the Strawberry tart. The Napoleon is just not the same....I tried so hard to like it but its just not worth the calories now. The layers of pastry tasted burnt, the cream was too heavy and sugary and the frosting on top tasted like it belonged on a donut, not a delicate French pastry."


"On an up note, the strawberry tart was awesome! Fresh fruit, delicious pastry cream, and a great tart base / crust! Two thumbs up for this one!!"




Then also this snack from France's...




Crepes and Ice Cream Kiosk






"Here we have what I consider to be THE BEST ice cream available in WDW!!! It's from the crepes kiosk in France. So rich and creamy.....it should be illegal to sell this it's that good. I crave this stuff! And only the chocolate will do!"





Then one last stop at Japan's...




Tea & Sake Kiosk












"Jim hasn't been feeling well and he's a big tea drinker especially when he's sick. So he got himself an Iced Green Tea which he enjoyed very much. Cool and refreshing. This is the real deal if you are a tea lover!! Two thumbs up! I added in a pic of the Tokyo Sunrise. It looks soooo good. It's on my list for later this week!!!"

Agreed! I work from home and we have a server down right now, so what better to do than check my Dis threads!
