"Doug and I decided to split a sandwich from the Contempo Café for lunch while Marshall rests up for our last night here. We are doing the Dessert Party tonight, can't wait! We split an Italian stack sandwich with chips. It was pretty good. Fresh bread and lots of cold cuts. I took the red onion out of my half."

It's easy for me to text, but I can't imagine doing all the photo hosting. We won't be back to the world for probably 22 months, but we're doing DVC Hilton Head in October. Maybe some surprise updates from there!

And now we have an update from DaisyluvzGoofy, our new reporter from...

Disneyland

She said, "My DH and I LOVE eating at The Plaza because the portions are larger than most, price is comparable to a local restaurant outside the park, most seats outside give you a great view of the fireworks, AND they give free refills on drinks!!! (DH is also a big fan of Coke Zero and this is one of the few places that has it, which makes him extra happy!)"

"Both DH and I had the chicken and shared a slice of carrot cake. He dug in before I could get my first picture. This was a good time to remind him that things will be changing from now on and he'll have to wait!! haha! The chicken was good, but not as moist as some trips but still my favorite meal in the park. I couldn't finish my whole portion so I gave half of my largest piece to DH. He was a happy camper."

"The carrot cake was very moist and neither too sweet nor too heavy like some cakes. The cream cheese frosting wasn't over powering either. DH was very happy with his meal and sat patiently waiting for me to finish mine so we could share the cake."

"I included a pic of Small World Holiday because it's my favorite holiday attraction at DL, they keep it up until the 22nd because it takes them about two-three weeks to take it all down."

"That's all for now, we'll be heading in today for our reservations for the Golden Horseshoe Review Annual Passholder reserved show! I'll send some pics if I can!"

Our long awaited visit to Epcot and Magic Kingdom arrived yesterday.

We started at Epcot, and immediately hit the new version of Test Track. When we finished there, DH was in the mood for fish and chips, so we headed for England. We had two baskets of fish and chips ($9) and DH and I split a souvenir stein of Bass Ale ($11).

DS headed to France to pick up his favorite chocolate crepes ($5 each).

After Soarin', we headed to Magic Kingdom.

Our reservations were for 9, but I wanted to see if we could check in early and be seated early. When checking in, we had no issues, although I did have my ADR confirmation on my phone just in case. After waiting for 25 minutes, I did stop a manager to ask if there was any way to know how long we would be waiting. I learned that checking in early rarely does you any favors, as you will be seated soon after the reservation time.

We were called soon after, and led into the West Wing dining room. The lovely Kristen G. was our server and she was excellent. Because I had marked allergies on the reservation, the chef soon came out to talk with DH and DS about their mango allergy. DH had unsweetened tea, DS had an Arnold Palmer, and I had coffee and water.

We ordered the charcuterie platter ($16) and the mussels ($12) as our appetizers.

DS ordered the pork rack chop.

DH had the steak and I had the salmon.

For a birthday surprise, I received the grey stuff! Mocha mousse with sugar pearls.

DH had the chocolate cream puff, DS had the triple chocolate cupcake, and I had the lemon meringue cupcake for dessert.

It was a lovely meal. We had only one complaint, some servers were having a rather large argument a few feet behind me, but that was resolved soon. I have some bonus pictures of the restaurant.

I neglected to mention the Main Street Bakery was closed for renovation, so I was very sad.

On the bright side, I walked right past the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party, so I know where to go next month!

Ok, I have just a couple more updates to post, which were sent to us last night by marshallsmommy.

Before going to the Dessert Party, they headed to Downtown Disney and had dinner at...

Wolfgang Puck Express

"We shared a bacon wrapped meatloaf at WPE. It was really good! Sorry the pic is after we split it in half! The cheesecake was really good! Can't wait to go back next time and try other things!"

"We also stopped at Goofy's Candy Co. and had a Goofy Glacier Slushy drink. It was really good. We got orange and it tasted like frozen Orange Crush. Very tasty!"

Well folks after much back and forth. And I do mean I changed my mind hourly. I think we finally have decided to stay at CSR w/ the DDP. Our group has changed up a bit though. My brothers family decided not to go and my DH still can't go. So it has turned into a girls only trip. So we invited my mother to come along w/ me and my girls. We will arrive in WDW 2/23-3/1. However my mom doesn't fly in until 2/25.
When it's me and my girls we tend to go w/the flow. So this will be a relaxing trip w/ random decisions. I can't wait to share.

Now for the last update received last night from marshallsmommy.

This one was from the Magic Kingdom's...

Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party

She said, "We are back from our dessert party and I have to say I will probably never do it again! Our ressie time was 7:10 and we were there a good 10 minutes early to check in. The line was 30 people long and there were probably 15 - 20 tables already taken in the room. We finally got checked in and had an amazing table right on the railing...really good spot!"

"We sat down and I went to try and get dessert. The buffet was mobbed with people! I couldn't move! I got 2 plates of dessert and fruit for Marshall and I to share. Pretty much one of everything plus some fruit. I dropped these off and went to grab coffee for me, water for Marshall, and lemonade for Doug. Then poor Doug finally got to grab some desserts."

"We sat and ate for a few minutes and none were really that great, but nothing horrible. The crème brulee was probably my favorite. Doug says nothing stood out that much to him. Marshall liked the little orange drink so I decided to go get him another one and there were none left...matter of fact, there were maybe 3 kinds of dessert left and no regular coffee and the pre-show (Celebrate the Magic) hadn't even started yet!!! While I was gone they announced 5 minutes till start time and when I got back I couldn't even GET to my seat. There were so many people lined up at the rail (there was maybe room for one person between the railing and my chair). I was just really disgusted with the whole experience. I was imagining something so much better than it really was! Such a let down!"

I just wanted to thank everyone for all of the awesome updates. I love this thread - so i I am going to do my best with the pics but please forgive me if I happen to struggle a little here and there.....
Also we have a peanut allergy in our group so I am hopefully going to share some good allergy info with you! I know I am always truly appreciative when I get some great allergy tips!
Ok now just a few more days until the wildest ride in the wilderness!

I love this thread - so i I am going to do my best with the pics but please forgive me if I happen to struggle a little here and there..... Also we have a peanut allergy in our group so I am hopefully going to share some good allergy info with you! I know I am always truly appreciative when I get some great allergy tips!
