I went to my first Halloween party last year, and i really don't remember anyone asking to see my wristband or seeing huge groups of cast members checking for them. Maybe I was just obliviously happy to be at Magic Kingdom wearing a costume, I don't know!

Was there Friday night, and CMs asked multiple times at checkpoints and in lines for guests to show wristbands.

Okay - I wasn't the one that said they were making people leave at 6:50. I was stating that technically they could. FWIW - NOJ this year they closed lines with waits longer then 30 minutes at 6:30 so you couldn't join them - unless you had a FP.
We will just have to agree to disagree about if you can tell if someone deserves their HC placard or not by looking at them. My dad has a HC placard andnsome days he may look unworthy and other days you would wonder how he is still physically standing.

I'm sure that is the case - so many people are posting about it, I was just oblivious to it last year! Like I said, I was in my happy Disney daze, not looking for rule-violators!

If your wristband was visible as you walked by, then you would probably not have been asked. But you were being checked.

We had a member of our party last year wearing sleeves and she was asked several times to show her band.

What about kids under 3? My 2 year old niece will be with us and I couldn't find an option to purchase a ticket for kids under 3. I assume this means she is free? Does this mean no wristband?

Yes, she is free. I assume that would mean she won't need a wristband, but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

No wristband required. Though I have had them give my then under 3 year old a bracelet because she just wanted one - she wanted to be like her sissa.

here is what we saw last year,
after entering @ 4pm, there were cm with the wristbands. they were mob by those trying to get them as fast as they could. the problem came from those milling around , acting as if they were getting ready to leave the park. instead , once they saw the person handling the wristbands out was mobbed, they joined the crowd. either make each person showed their ticket or have a second cm watching those exiting from joining the "crowd".

They typically dontmask to see your ticket if youmgetmyour bracelet right after through the party turnstiles. If you get your bracelet in the park they ask and scan.
