Has anyone heard about the knotts military promo?
A couple years ago they ran a promo in November where all military (even retired, or discharged) could get in free and got several discounted tickets as well.
Did they run that last year? Has anyone heard if they are doing it this year? |

It is an annual tribute...they've been doing it for more than 20 years I believe. It's usually good from Nov. 1 until Thanksgiving.

Isn't it for both military and law enforcement? I know that I was able to get in free in December with a law enforcement I.D.

My suggestion would be to email Knott's to verify the dates. A couple of years ago, when I asked about the promotion, the dates that I received showed only 2 weeks one on each side of Veterans' Day. I have emailed them several times in the past for the dates, and I have always received a reply within a couple of days.
I know in the past, it was anyone that had an active or retired military ID or DD214 could receive 2 free tickets and up to 3 more at a discounted rate.

Military Tribute Days
Knott's annual tribute to our Military, past and present, starts November 1st. FREE admission for Veterans or current serving military personnel and one guest with proper I.D. presented at turnstile. Plus purchase up to six additional tickets for just $19 each from November 1-21 and for $25 each November 22 through January 6. Military personnel may also purchase additional tickets at their local MWR ticket office. *Eligible person must be present. Dependent I.D.s will not be accepted *Valid proof of military service with photo I.D. required. Eligible person must be present. Fire and Police Recognition Days Starting Thanksgiving Day and running through January 6, 2013, Knott's will honor all those who protect life and property with Fire and Police Recognition Days. FREE admission to the park will be offered to all active fire and police personnel and one guest. Up to six additional tickets can be purchased for only $25 each. This is from their website. I've taken advantage of this the past few years. Parking is not free. From the looks of this it looks like military get in free for the rest of the year b ut this would be different than in years past. |
