Oh I love Cosmic Rays. I was gutted that we only made it there once during our two weeks at Disney, but that's the perils of the Deluxe Dining Plan and an 8 year old who loves shrimp and couldnt be dragged away from Columbia Harbour House.

I love Cosmic Ray's (they have a really good pulled pork sandwich). We have eaten there four or five times and I still have NOT seen Sonny.

I'm with everyone else wanting to know who #4 was.

I was going to go to Cosmic Ray's one night when we were there and now I'm kind of bummed that we didn't! Because what I had didn't satisfy me at all and sometimes you just need a burger. I also think I know who your dinner guest was too but Joh and I will keep it a mystery! I know it wasn't me!

Great review Brenda! I especially liked the picture of the closed cash register terminal – so funny and unexpected.

But now I’d like to share my thoughts about our dinner at Cosmic Ray’s. It's well-known that Disney counter service burgers have some harsh critics around here – will I turn out to be one of them?

So without further ado, I’m honored to write this guest review about…

Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe – Part 2

After a delightful (and wet!) ride on Splash Mountain, I ended up joining Brenda, Emily, and Michael for dinner. It was so much fun spending time with all of them - they're such a warm, friendly family, and it was very kind of them to include me in their dinner plans.

Furthermore, Brenda also offered to treat me to dinner! Meeting the three of them was wonderful enough, but I just have to say one more time - thank you so much! Next time, I owe you!

Keep in mind, just two nights prior to this encounter, I was savoring venison carpaccio with shaved truffles at Artist Point. What would Cosmic Ray's have in store for me?

A 1/3 Pound Angus Hamburger with Plenty of Toppings

Honestly, this really hit the spot. I can't remember the last time I had a counter service beef burger at WDW, but the beef patty was thick enough for me, and it tasted great! With the sweet grilled onions, juicy tomatoes, salty pickles, and some lettuce to top it off, I was more than satisfied. Sorry for ignoring my foodie responsibilities, but I can't remember whether the bun was white bread or whole wheat. Regardless, the bun did its job nicely and didn't fall apart, so I was extremely satisfied.

Of course, I wasn't paying full attention to the food, since the conversations we were having were all so much fun. There were lots of hysterical moments, such as a recounting of Michael's first time tasting Beverly. To all the readers out there: if you ever find yourself in Club Cool with Brenda, beware...

But our Cosmic Ray's meal wasn't over yet. Part 3 is coming up

As DDW said... we were not finished yet.....

Mr. DDW and I decided to split an order of chili cheese fries.

Chili Cheese Fries ($4.49)

I will give you my thoughts on this and then perhaps DDW will weigh in!

I love Disney fries, I love chili but I do not like cheese goo so much. However, these sounded good and it was late and not a lot of options appealed to me so what the heck!

I have to say that I actually liked them. The chili wasn't spicy but it was "meaty" and the cheese goo was not bad. I would order these again. I think if they had some hot sauce at the toppings bar that would have definitely made them amazing. (I like spicy stuff.)
