Definitely interior corridors (big benefit, in my book).

That said, sometimes you see people on disboards say that Poly has outdoor corridors - what they mean is that you have to walk outside to get from your individual longhouse to the Grand Ceremonial House or other longhouses. In other words, the rooms are not all in one large, connected building.

Indoor access. Some rooms have patios that you can exit on to the grass but you can't leave that way and also lock the sliding glass door.

does each section have "standard" view rooms? Just wondering if someone books a standard view room and wants to request a building, what their options are. Thanks.

Each longhouse may not have a "standard view" room - this is dependent on their location on the Poly property.

The Polynesian resort has these categories of rooms:
~ Standard Room - Standard View (View of parking area, garden, pool, marina or monorail)
~ Standard Room - Lagoon View (View of the Seven Seas Lagoon)
~ Standard Room - Theme Park View (View of Disney's Magic Kingdom theme park and the Seven Seas Lagoon)
~ Club Level/Concierge Rooms - Garden View, Lagoon View or Theme Park View. These rooms are located in the Hawaii Building.

There is also the suites located in the Tonga longhouse, however this is a building not to many will ever stay in unless they have $680-$3100 a night to spend

I believe that was pushed off to March 4 with an anticipated reopening on March 16.

I was wondering the same thing. Wasn't it supposed to start yesterday? I have heard multiple dates and really hoping that its not during my stay..3/2-3/8.

I've emailed the generic WDW Guest Services email address with this kind of thing. The last several times I've gotten phone calls in response. I've gotten to know a couple CMs at the resort and I've been told by them that these notes are definitely seen by both the CMs and their managers and go in their files.

Lagoon view rooms are available in Tuvalu, Aotearoa, Tokelau and Tahiti

Just got two rooms at the Polynesian for 5/31 to 6/5. That's going to be our "big" family vacation this year. The whole family's excited!

I am going to call the Poly soon to put in a different room request since samoa is closed and it seems Tokelau is a desired longhouse...(Yes, I do know that requests are not guaranteed) I like the location of room # 1914 and #1915(corner rooms) and was curious if anyone has stayed in either one. If so, did you like it? I will have 2 little ones and also curious if you can enter and exit thru the patio doors with a stroller or just walking? Thanks!
