***Closed*** Secret Santa Exchange ... all names have been given out

Presents! Presents! Presents!

Time to start planning a 2012 Secret Santa Exchange. This is pretty simple. You sign up, send a gift box to someone, get a gift box in return, and walk around with a big silly grin on your face for the month of Dec!

The close date is Nov 10.

Rules/Guidelines:

1. Secret Santa's are to fill a Medium Flat Rate Priority Box with goodies for their SS.
2. You must spend a minimum of $15.00 but no more than $20.00 on items for your SS. This amount does not including shipping.
3. Each box must include one of the following: a card, at least one handmade item or ornament, and of course something Disney themed.
4. You must check in weekly. I'll be posting different questionaires to help everyone get to know their SS
5. The mail by date is Dec 5th. ALL PACKAGES MUST BE SHIPPED BY THIS DATE! You will also need to PM your Delivery Confirmation number from shipping
6. PM me with any specific questions you have for your SS and I will message her for answers.
7. Make this box special...gift wrap, bows and the whole nine yards. Lets bring a great big smile to your SS's face
10. You must post pictures of your boxes when you open them.
11. Please pm me your shipping info, email and phone number. I will only share your address with your SS.

Hi. Wondering, have you hosted an exchange here on the exchange board before or been in one of the exchanges?

I usually host the Christmas ones, and was planning on posting it later in the year. And usually another exchange host hosts the card exchange for Christmas.

Thank for asking about my experience. I have hosted many different types of exchanges not only on Disboards but in other places. Since nothing was posted about anyone having ownership over specific exchanges and this was not listed as an upcoming exchange I decided to start the two. You are more than welcome to join or continue your tradition of hosting one. It's no bother to me. The more the merrier!

You say you have hosted on the Disboards. We don't recognize your name?
Do we know you? What exchanges have you been in?

Sorry, but it is unusual for someone to pop up and start an exchange that we have never heard of.

Anyone is welcome of course to host, but it is usually advised that they have been in some of this boards exchanges first.

Nobody "owns" certain exchanges, but there are people that have hosted the same ones for years.
Christmas present is one.............Christmas cards is another.

I am usually the only one that gets my exchanges to the list far in advance.
So, yes you probably are stepping on toes.............mommytotwo does the Christmas present and Christmas stocking every year. It is so early, dates just aren't up. And another regular does Christmas cards.

Maybe you should think about joining in a few first before going all out on hosting?? Just a thought.

How about doing the exchange within the Member Cruise? From Beth's comments about the cruise being short with limited time to get together, this could be one way for the memers to connect, and even the Secret Santa and the receiver could plan on meeting each other on their own.

Meriweather and mommytotwo, Hollywood Glitter had begun the January Member Cruise thread on the Cruise Meets board. She is participating in the "postcard exchange" that we're doing within the Members Cruise thread.
