Are the skirts longer than the ones at Target? They seem that way from the website, but I'm not sure.

Love my Team Sparkle skirt!! And if you buy a skirt and wings together, you usually get a discount.

I have two of the nylon skirts from Target with the attached shorts underneath....C9 brand. I love those for training. However, I bought the Sparkle Skirts tech Minnie for my race today. ( Rock and Roll Half Virginia Beach)...love the tech skirt with all the pockets...great for racing to hold anything...I had sunglasses and several gels in them.

I bought a sparkle skirt at the expo here at DL and wore it for the 5K, loved it, it was a good length, and the shorts never rode up as other shorts usually do on me, I am very happy with it, pockets are a big plus also.

I just bought the Turquoise Peacock design from Sparkle Skirts at the Disney expo. They were pricey, but after running the Half in them this morning I would buy another two pairs in a heartbeat! The pocket was perfect to keep my camera in (for easy access), and I still used my Spibelt (for ID, car key, Blocks, and to keep an extra Clif gel that they hand out at mile 9). They worked perfectly fine together.
There was also a sample Evil Queen (from Snow White) skirt on display at the Expo that they were taking pre-orders for. It was so fabulous, black skirt, purple panel in front, and a long red rope belt with jewel, so be on the lookout for that one to hit the website! I bought a Team Sparkle skirt at the Tink expo, but I still haven't found decent shorts to wear under them so it hasn't even made it out of the bag yet

does anyone have one of the sparkle skirts slim cut skirts? According to the chart I am in between a medium and a large with waist measurements, but I wear a 6/8. How slim are they really running? I am thinking of going with the medium, and I guess I could always exchange if I need to...

![]() I don't have any with the shorts underneath. I choose to wear it over my compression tights.

No, the slim cut--with shorts built in. One of them is a pirate theme. I wear a small in runningskirts and sports skirts, but my waist falls at the high end and the slim cut are supposedly cut smaller...just wondered if anyone had tried one. I don't think I will get any smaller, I have just never had a real waist--more like a rectangle than a curve.

Got it. That is why I was confused by the term. I agree that Leah is very nice and is extremely helpful and will e-mail you back. I am not sure about the fit of the shorts as I haven't tried them yet. She did have a lot of new cute patterns at the Disneyland Expo!

I have both and love them both. Both companies....owners...super nice to deal with and have GREAT customer service.
Team Sparkle.... Lightweight shell to wear over something wth no pocket. The cut is a drop waist with a little fullness below that. I LOVE that I can wear it over shorts, bike style shorts, capris, or long leggings. Its SO light weight and easy to position where you want to wear it. Tiny for packing as well. Cheaper than the sparkle skirts by a little. I have 2 and tried to make one myself, but its easier for me to just buy it as its not that much $$ IMO. I always get compliments when I wear to a race. Last year at the Princess the weather was up in the air and the night before was deciding whether to wear shorts, capris or leggings.....it was great to know that with my TeamSparkle, I was covered with any of these options. Team Sparkle is out of CA I THINK and was not at the expo.....but she ran the race and hand delivered a skirt to my room! Sparkle Skirts I do not have the Sparkle Light - I have the Sparkle Tech. I splurged and saved my $$ for the last expo and got the picasso pink skirt. I was running as Mulan and actually wored the Sparkle skirt....with a Red Team Sparkle on top . It worked out great with my costume. As for the sparkle tech, that thing is da bomb! I broke a race rule, bought it at the expo and wore it for the last 1/2 - without washing. I talked to Leigh the owner in the booth AND a volunteer at her booth, a marathon runner who swore by them. I have chafing issues iwth the thighs, and let me tell you, those shorts stayed put! The pockets were handy as well. I have since purchased another - patriotic theme for a 4th of july 10k and will wear it on Thanksgiving for a 10k, and am thinking of saving my pennies again for a plain one to wear when training on my long runs....I mean I could wear my pink or patriotic, but would love to have a plain one too. Bottom line think about what you are looking for, look at the styles and go from there. Both cuts are flattering on most - just about everyone. If you are tall, I think Sparkle Light is a tad longer, I am not tall so not an issue for me.

I will have to look into the tech skirts. There are so many options now. But, I think those are the only two that have the flashy fabric.

Another fan of Sparkle Skirts here. I bought one of the light ones in gold for my costume for the princess. It now goes to Zumba classes with me ;-) It was a fine skirt for my costume but there are no pockets so in that way, they are like the Team Sparkle ones.
THEN I bought a Sparkle Tech in May to wear for summer races and O.M.G is that skirt fabulous. It is now my favorite skirt. And I have a skirt from Running Skirts, Skirt Sports, and a couple of Target ones. The others work okay, but this Sparkle Tech is hands down my favorite. The shorts never ride up or chafe. The pockets are big enough that I don't need my belt. I can carry my big droid phone, some sports beans, my key and my id or credit card. I love that skirt. I want another but not sure that I need it. Leah is super sweet too. Highly recommend her product. |
