I looked it up and I think it would run me about $600...

$350 for the boat and then $250 for the private dining with a butler...

I'm thinking that DH would be horrified by that cost.

Well, it's the holiday season! I am happy that I have already begun my Christmas shopping! I usually procrastinate big time. But...I'm realizing how much money I'm spending (both girls want new American Girl dolls and beds...). Plus, DH and I BOTH need tires for our cars...

With those expenses, we have decided to change our Beach Club reservation to a royal guest room at POR!!! (Saving $1300!!!)

We both agree that it is the responsible thing to do and that our trip is going to be great! We realize that we are lucky to be doing two 11 day trips in a 9 month period. Our last trip was a total splurge, and this one is going to be toned down a little.

The good news is.....we are now PAID IN FULL!!!!

I'm having deja vu....or am I??? Ahhh, Candace as someone who blew the budget at wdw..I understand wanting to save. Por is beautiful but in the grand scheme...location location location...the poly was in a word...perfect for my girls. Por looks great. But I've never been there...so living through you...and Jen too (Jen is still there right LOL)

Ah yes, location....would be nice...but not a necessity for my family. My kids actually LOVE riding the bus (they don't do it at home, not even to school) so it's a fun adventure to them

And we've really never stayed anywhere at Disney with superb location, so it's one of those "don't know what we are missing things".

We will be at the parks A LOT this trip, so really need a place to shower and lay our heads. I even considered changing to AoA but didn't want to pay rack rate (it's just principle). I got my 35% off POR and am REALLY happy with the cost of this trip!!! (It's more than two times cheaper than the trip we took this summer)

Yep....no changes yet although on Saturday while driving DH casually asked me to price out some other resorts...

Well, I think we all knew that POR wouldn't last. I wish I could say that staying at a deluxe didn't ruin me. I wish I could say I can just go back to a mod or a value....I wish I could say we were staying at POR.

Alas, we are not staying at POR....I have since changed my reservation to a pool view room at AKL!!!!

Why AKL, you might ask??? Well, it has always been on our short list. I always thought I would HAVE to have a savannah view if staying there buuuuuuut, the resorts the resorts I really want, POLY or YC, have no standard rooms available under the military discount and quite honestly, the cost of the upgraded views or CL that are available make me

So with AKL, I figure paying the $500 extra for the savannah view is kind of silly for my family since we will never sit out on the balcony staring at the animals, it's just not us. We will still get the deluxe amenities we love while still saving $500 from the Beach Club reservation (which, if I'm being honest, I was settling for because YC wasn't available

So, AKL....right now...everyone all caught up??? I have made reservations at Boma and Jiko too! First time at both!!!

I am still on Wednesday on my TR, Poly in Thursday...I did get an email from Magical Vacations for Poly discount for Spring Break...awaiting the quote...out of curiousity of course....

Put it this way...choosing between Poly and GF will be near impossible...and you know how I feel about GF
