Your review is great so far! I know how time consuming it is to do one, so I thought I'd better at least comment! That Smores cupcake looks good. I'd never heard of it before. I better start hanging out here more again!

Thanks! I didn't realize how time consuming it would be to do a review, but I'm working on getting the next one up in a few minutes. The S'mores cupcake it delicious. It was probably the best cupcake that I had while I was there.

Honeydukes
Pete and I were up really early this morning. I was so excited about going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter that I couldn't sleep. So I made Pete get out of bed and drive over us over to the Royal Pacific to check in around 6 am (We had some things we needed to do once we got there, and then early entry was at 8). They had a room ready at 6:15. They gave us a pool view in Tower 1, which was relatively conveniently located to the water taxi area. We had to pick up our tickets, get our express passes, and then I went to the concierge to see if we could get reservations at the Three Broomsticks the next day. (From what I understand, advance reservations for breakfast at the Three Broomsticks are only available with the Harry Potter package that Universal sells, but if you are a resort guest, you can get reservations through concierge 1-2 days in advance). Then we caught a water taxi, and we were first in line for early entry to WWoHP. We rode the Forbidden Journey twice (which was the best ride of the entire trip, IMO), then decided it was time to have breakfast. I already knew exactly what I wanted, so we went into Honeydukes.
![]() I had a cauldron cake. ![]() It was chocolate cake filled with chocolate mousse. It was served cold, which I thought made it taste better than it would have if it had been served room temperature. The cake part was very moist, and the mousse part had very good chocolate flavor. I had every intention of getting another at some point during the trip, but it didn't quite work out that way. Pete, being the food thief that he is, also thought it was very good. I'm sure he would have eaten more of it if I had given him the chance, but being the mean wife that I am, I had to smack his hands away to keep it for myself. ![]() Pete had a pumpkin tart. ![]() He said this was very good - better than he thought it would be, which is saying something since he thought it would be delicious. He had wanted to get another one of these and a cauldron cake for himself at some point, but his stomach had different plans.

Croissant Moon Bakery
After we left WWoHP, we were both still pretty hungry, so we stopped at the Croissant Moon Bakery for another treat.
![]() ![]() Sorry about the bad lighting in the photos, but it was moderately dark in there, and my camera can't seem to figure out how to take good pictures in the kind of dark. I had a cheese danish. ![]() I really loved this. It was better than the cauldron cake. The pastry part was soft. The cream cheese filling was perfect. But what really set the danish apart was the sweet glaze that covered the pastry. Peter had black forest cake. ![]() He said it was decent, but nothing special. He said that he probably wouldn't get it again. Next up: Lunch at Citywalk

I loved WWoHP!! The first time I went there with my sister, my motion sickness really took its toll on me on the Forbidden Journey. My stomach was upset for a very long time afterwards. The next time I went I was going on a cruise so I had a sea sickness patch on - and I didn't get sick at all!! So then I rode it several times because it is a crazy good ride! I had a cauldron cake and I also wished that I'd let it warm up a bit before eating it but I still liked it. I wish I could go back for some frozen butterbeer!

Yum, those pastries for breakfast look really good. I don't know why I never think to have cupcakes for breakfast while on vacation.... I'll have to make a point of doing that on my next trip!

Nascar Sports Grille
When Pete and I were ready for lunch, we decided to head out to CityWalk. We agreed on the Nascar Sports Grille. I hadn't really seen or heard much about it, but we both wanted to give it a shot.
Pete ordered the soup of the day, which was pumpkin apple spice. ![]() He said he didn't care for it all that much, but he ate all of it, so it couldn't have been terrible. Pete also ordered the Chili Con Queso & Chips. ![]() This was hot chili and cheese dip topped with sliced jalapeños, tomatoes, sour cream and served with homemade fried tortillas. Pete liked it, and I loved it. He stole enough of my food, that I figured it was my turn to steal some of his. I actually ended up eating much more of it than Pete did. The chili was more mild than it was spicy, and if you wanted it spicier, I'm sure you could get extra jalapeños. I had the Fried Cheese and Toasted Ravioli. ![]() It was not so great. The garlic bread was soggy. The mozzarella sticks were lukewarm. The toasted ravioli was decent. I really thought that the chili and queso was much better, so I ate most of that and Pete ate most of my food. We decided to make another stop in Croissant Moon Bakery before we went back to our hotel to rest. Pete decided not to order anything. I had a Red Velvet Chocolate Chip Muffin. ![]() This was pretty good. I probably wouldn't get it again, though, but that's mostly because there are so many other things at the bakery that I would like to try.

Hard Rock Cafe
After lunch, we spent most of the afternoon/evening at IoA. When it was time for dinner, Pete knew exactly where he wanted to go: Hard Rock Cafe. He loves going to this restaurant in different cities, because the chef at each restaurant designs a different burger that's only available at that individual restaurant. We were seated immediately once we walked up.
Pete had the local legendary burger. ![]() ![]() We didn't take notes of what was on the burger, so I'm just telling you what I remember (which isn't as much as I wish it was). It was 3 patties topped with bacon and 3 kinds of cheese: cheddar, swiss, and blue. It was topped with an onion ring, lettuce, and tomato. I think that there guacamole on it, but I don't remember for sure. Pete really loved this. He ate the whole thing, and said that he didn't have enough room for dessert (even though that changed once my dessert got there). I had Hard Rock Nachos topped with BBQ pulled pork. ![]() Fresh corn tortilla chips piled high with Jack and Cheddar cheeses and seasoned pinto beans. Served with sour cream, chopped green onions, pico de gallo, jalapeños and a side of fresh Hard Rock Grilled Salsa. These were really good, but the pork was not quite what I expected. There was no BBQ sauce anywhere to found, and the pork itself was really dry. Otherwise, this was fantastic. When it was time to order dessert, Pete said that he was too full. I ordered the hot fudge brownie. ![]() Ben & Jerry’s® vanilla ice cream and hot fudge on a fresh brownie, topped with chocolate sprinkles, fresh whipped cream and a cherry. This ordinarily comes with chopped walnuts, but I ordered it without. There was a ton of hot fudge (which is one of my many weaknesses). I would have eaten it all by myself, but Pete took one look at it, and decided that he had room for dessert after all.
