Dates for 2013 Food and Wine Classic at Swan/Dolphin - The DIS Discussion Forums

I know this is a long way off but would anyone know if the dates for the Food and Wine Classic for 2013 will be held on the same weekend in October as 2012?

I'm pretty sure the first two were held the first full weekend in October so this year it's being held a week later. Maybe you should contact them to find out. Anything posted here would be pure speculation at this point.

I think the 1st two were actually planned around Columbus Day weekend, and back in 2011, info was pointing towards the same schedule for 2012. It was then listed as week later this year. I can't comfirm 100%, but I think they then tried moving back to Columbus Day weekend this year with the hotels even saying it was Columbus weekend. But since a lot of plans were already in place, they stuck with 10/12-13. I planned this years' vacation with this event in mind, and I remember the dates seemed to be bouncing around between those weeks with conflicting info.

All this means is that the 2013 date will probably be around Columbus Day weekend which narrows it a bit

We love the Food and Wine Festival at Disney. We did the Swan and Dolphin in 2010. We are planning on doing it again in 2013. Our schedules did not work for 2011 or 2012. As soon as the dates are released we are booking.

Has anyone ever stayed at the Swan or Dolphin and used their package for there Festival? We are thinking of staying for two nights there and then staying at the Boardwalk for the reminder of the week.

I would like to know the answer to this as well. I am trying to book our stay at BWV around this weekend. Any inside help would be much appreciated.

We stopped by the Swan and asked them last weekend (November 10th) at the front desk. They had no idea, hopefully we will have an answer soon.

Yes, the first two were held the Friday/Saturday before Columbus Day. The third one this year ended up being a week later. No idea why that changed, but I'd say odds are good they go back to the holiday weekend. But I'd keep both of those weekends in mind - Columbus Day and the next weekend.

I have booked Columbus Day weekend at BWV just in case. I can't seem to find any info. about the Food and Wine tasting at the Swan/Dolphin- apparently, not even the Swan/Dolphin knows yet...
