As far as payment (and I've been meaning to make a post about this), I'm not sure what would work best, but I did ask the Event Planner at the restaurant, and she told me we could pay in cash the evening of the event (I didn't ask about doing a bunch of different cards or anything like that -- just too complicated).

Since I have given my credit card to hold the reservation, I believe I the best idea would be to have people pay me directly upon arrival that night so that I'm sure we have all the money in before the party starts.

Remember, your alcoholic beverages will be your own responsibility. You can pay for those on your own tab (I won't be handling that money).

If anyone has ANY questions about any of this, please feel free to post here or PM me. Thanks!

Okay, everyone, here's the scoop:

The total price with the automatic 20% gratuity and 8.875% NY tax is $38.66 per person.

I will not be fumbling with coins, I can tell you that much

Ginamarie (who is heading up the fundraising for this event -- please see thread here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2969104) suggested that we make it an even $40 per person, with the extra $1.34 going to Give Kids the World (the total of all those $1.34s will be rounded up to the nearest dollar, as will the total cost of the check for our meal/tax/gratuity. Again -- no fumbling with change for anyone).

Sounds like a great idea to me! Please let us know what the rest of you think
