West Coast Girls (and our sweet prince) head East to see the Mouse and Harry! PTR
After weeks of reading on this board; I THINK I finally have our plan. Thank you all for your help so far.
So here we go...... Cast of Characters; Me; 30 something single mom. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Disney. I am a project manager and in the middle of a huge project that will be close to wrapping up the end of May so this will be a much needed vaca. I have been to Disneyland many times but never to WDW or Florida. I love warm weather and the beach. Only disappointment in this vacation is I won’t have more time to explore the state. But this trip is all about the Mouse and Harry. ![]() DD (15) & DS (7); DD is a freshman in high school and an awesome kid. She has just really knocked it out of the park so far with her grades and I am really proud of her. She wants to go to school in Southern CA in a couple of years; so I know our time together is limited and am trying to make some great memories. She really got into meeting all the princesses our last trip to DL this past holiday season, which surprised me! We even went to Aerial’s Grotto for lunch for her. She is the cranky one on trips thou and needs a daily rest to keep up with DS and I. DS is FULL of energy. Like mom, he could hit the parks from opening to close every day. His fav characters are Buzz, Woody, Tow Mater and Lightening. He LOVED Carsland our last trip and hated meeting the princesses. He is into some character meetings but not too much. He is my "cautious" child and will not take on any of the big rides! ![]() DN (16)- (not posting a pic until I get my sisters permission but she is a beautiful girl). HOPEFULLY she will get to join us this trip. She is really sweet and SUPER quiet. She has been to DL once and never to WDW. DD asked to bring her along so she had someone to ride the big rides with (remember our little prince is also our little chicken!) I hope it works out and am HAPPY to have her join us. Our group travels great together and I think she will fit right in! Here we all are on our last trip;

The Plan
Dates- Friday, May 31st thru Sunday, June 9th.
(I haven't booked our flight yet and the times are actually better on Monday but not sure about taking another day off work so not that is not set in stone yet.) Resorts- 5/31-6/7 POP! This was not my first pick but the price was great and it looked super fun for the kids. I love a 4 star resort when I am going somewhere like Mexico and will be camped at the resort. BUT when I am touring parks; we usually like our money to go to fun things not a place we will only be a few hours a night. The pools looked nice, the food looked good, and it is on-site so I am happy with our pick and hope it will be a fun experience. 6/7-6/10 is not booked yet but right now the plan in Coco Keys. I don’t think we will stay at Universal as late and the water park looked fun for the kids, it has a free shuttle and the price is great! I am open to recommendations thou. Staying on-site here is not an option; not paying 350 to stay at Universal. THE PLAN- So here is the plan so far. I am afraid it might be too ambitious so chime in if you have any recommendations. A few things you should know; - We usually get to the Park at opening and stay until close. DD does need a nap most days thou to keep going like that. - I am using Touring Plans. - I put a Universal Day in the middle because the Sat date is showing "heavy crowds" so I did not think 1 day at Universal would be enough. I originally thought about doing Sat/Sun; flying home Monday but still debating the cost and taking more time off work. Every day that week except Sat is showing moderate crowds. We have nothing comparably to WWOHP here so we are really excited about this park. - We have not bought the DDP. Still debating. We like nice places, but tend to share allot, don’t usually eat dessert and don’t care about character dining this trip. Friday, May 31st- Arrival date. No plans yet. Debating between two flights so will either arrive at noon after flying all night or will arrive at 4:30 if we take morning flight. Options right now are 1) Hit MK for the kids first glimpse of the castle? 2) Nice dinner somewhere? 3) Mini golf and dinner at DTD?? Saturday, June 1st Epcot • Lunch Via Napoli 11:30AM • Dinner Coral Reef 8:15PM Sunday, June 2nd Magic Kingdom • Currently no ADR's. CS at Peco's sounded good or maybe add something. Monday, June 3rd Disney's Hollywood Studios • Lunch Sci Fi Drive In 12:55PM Tuesday, June 4th Animal Kingdom • Dinner Ohana 6:50PM Wednesday, June 5th Universal Studios Thursday, June 6th Magic Kingdom • Dinner Be Our Guest 8:15PM (change to lunch??) Friday, June 7th Epcot • Currently no ADR's. IF we didn’t hit DTD the first night; considering adding TRex for dinner and then picking up luggage and taking cab to next resort. Saturday, June 8th Universal Sunday, June 9th Home So thoughts, comments, suggestions?? I am still running the figures on an extra day. If we did that I would either add Discovery Cove OR add a day of rest where we played in the pool and hit DTD on Wed and move Universal to Sunday. ![]()
