Summer planting ...help help!
Hey all! My boyfriends parents are trying to sell a house and the landscaping here is less than magical to say the least...I would love to help them out but I don't know where to start! It's so warm outside and the soil is not in "growing condition" and will need to be completely turned over before I even begin....
Can anyone help me?..where should I start? What flowers/greenery would be the best option? Thank you 8

Your best bet would be to get advice from a nursery/big box store in your area to see what is suitable for your location (i.e, what works in MI doesn't survive in FL and vice-versa). Mid-summer heat is usually not the best time to garden, but can be done with hardier varieties of plants - just be prepared to water well and sweat!
