I love these kind of festivals, though I'm sure the Wattle would be making me sneeze too.

The Waddle festival looks lovely, just like the kind of places that my Mom and I used to go to a lot. We don't have many down here, but up in Northern Cal they have them all over the place!

I had no idea there was a wattle festival! Might have to check it out next year!

Those 'teacups' and tiny teddies in cars are so cute!

We saw some Wattle while we were there! Not a highlight though.

Surprisingly, whilst the Wattle does cause the sneezes, it's actually the European plants that are much more potent from an allergy perspective.

I love these kinds of festivals too.

There are a lot more little towns like Hurstbridge up in NorCal. Los Gatos comes to mind.

The flower itself is not a major drawcard. But put the word Festival after.....and it's a nice day out.

Anywhere would be okay with us. It's about the company....

But I have to admit that I would prefer to go to a place that Fran would enjoy the food as well......

Well I keep driving past the Shabu Shabu place in Belmont Shore that was supposed to open in August.

It still has the "Disney-like" walls up in front of the place. Although, they don't have the nice Disney "under construction" artwork, just posters for some concert that happened months ago.

She does like Shabu Shabu and it SHOULD be open by the time you come here!

Your photos are beautiful. I just bought a DSLR so i am still learning the ropes of photography.

I got a Canon T3

Entry level is good for me now, but someday maybe upgrade up!

Well, I'm certainly hoping that there will be a post on my Cheating PTR that it has opened, considering that it was supposed to open in August. I know everything is delayed, but I was really bummed when it hit Sept 1 and the wall was still up. I will be there if not opening day, within days of opening day. I am so into Shabu Shabu that i am beside myself for this place to open. I suppose this is where we should meet since it will satisfy all dietary requirements, pesky vegetarian down to Large beef choice. I have no need to pay the extra for Kobe, since I really don't taste the difference!
