I Forgot I have Vacay at the end of October! Let's go to Disney!

Well, I am not the most organized person I know. And I generally don't like surprises. They almost always are BAD surprises, but 1 week ago I discovered I had scheduled vacay for the end of October.

You see at my employment we have to "put in" our vacation list for the entire year on January 1st. I am usually scrambling trying to remember what days I want off, so I put in for the last week of October and voila! Me and my boy are going to WDW and trick or treat at MNSSHP.
It was between a 3 day cruise (on Disney of course) or WDW. But a cruise for us revolves around watersports and swimming so I voted against a cruise at this time of year. I don't like lukewarm water.
So we are taking a cheap, quick trip to WDW.

October 25-28

Hotel: All-Star Movies
Dining: No dining plan, (too much food)
Tickets: 2 day with PH, and MNSSHP

We drive down Friday, check-in around 8pm. Then it's up for Epcot at 9am

More plans to follow!

Our Strategy

At this late date, there are almost NO special dining reservations possible.
It's just as well, I don't want to plan too much, just wing it and relax!

It's been two years exactly since we came to WDW. When we came in 2011 it was first class, deluxe all the way! I had planned and skimmed and panned all the websites and ADR's and trip reports and went all out for that trip.
This trip will be a short and relaxing trip. Sam is 7 yrs. old and will enjoy the MNSSHP.

So now I find that when I reserved my room there's this new thing called Magic Bands! If only I had had them on my last trip, AAaaargh!

They are limiting though. I want to have FP+ for more than one Park per day, and that's not allowed

We live in NC and it's beginning to chill just a tad here, by the end of October it should be perfect weather in Orlando.

Question: Has anyone else had the option to view the Electrical Parade on their FP+? I had it as an option for the 10 pm parade on Saturday night the 26th.

This is the shortest planning window I have ever had and I am so glad I am Dis-er because if I weren't as knowledgeable as I am about WDW I would be LOST!
I hope the MB's aren't a nightmare, I hope the weather is good, I hope we get a good spot for the Halloween parade, and I hope we are relaxed and enjoy our time together. Oh yes, And I hope we have a spot of warm weather for swimming!
I posted this video on the Dis-abilities board but am going to post it here as well. I am grateful for what I have because it is clearly more than most.

I do not know this woman, but I don't have to know her to feel her pain.
