Park day 4 ~ Epcot & Magic Kingdom

Our first stop will be Soarin. This was Hope's favorite ride the last two trips. In 2009 we were chosen as Soarin's Family of the Day. That was awesome. It doesn't sound like much but we were giddy. They took us in through the FP line and put us on the ride without watching the preshow. We were the only people on the ride. It was cool.

Next will be the Land, Nemo,



Figment, (and the fountain outside of it)



Hopefully we'll see Mary Poppins...Hope loves this movie



Impressions de France, maybe a Santa visit, Hanukkah storyteller
Then lunch.

The onto the Italian Storyteller, Maelstrom, the Mexican Storyteller, Mission:Space & Spaceship Earth.

At Magic Kingdom we will either do Splash Mountain or Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. I want to do Splash...but not on a cold day.
Dinner will be at Columbia Harbor House. We will then watch the parade, the picture show (hopefully its back by then) and Wishes.

I love the look of awe on her face.



That will be the end of another long, lovely day...then its off to bed so we can make EMH rope drop the next AM.

Now that touringplans has the new Little Mermaid Ride on there site, I can add it to my touring plan for my first day. And I'll probably have to pick a couple things to take out and put in my last day.

In other news we tried to do tie dye Mickey shirts...lets just say it did not go well. I'll try to put some vinyl on it and see if it can be salvaged...if not, we might make them our travel shirts!

Just reread the Universal email I got when I booked my package and found out that I will be able to get into Universal Studios an hour before park opening. Of course the only things open are Despicable Me and RRR. I was leaning towards not riding RRR, maybe I'll reconsider.

I knew about the hour early to IOA, that was the whole reason I booked a partner hotel. But this will make sure we are done before the park closes early. Yay!!!

Of course that does mean losing an hour of sleep, but maybe we'll be done in time to take a nap.

Overall, I take this as good news!!!

Ohhh...I missed your double digit dance! I am so excited for you! I love the picture of Hope watching wishes...I think I probably have the same expression everytime I see it!

Now everyone say a prayer for my family. We seem to be in the direct path of this hurricane. I probably won't be back on here until Friday. But when I'm back at work, I'll update here.

Thanks for the prayers. We're fine. Our yard is flooded and when the water finally goes away we'll have lots of yard work. We have a couple very large limbs and lots of smaller ones all over the place. But nothing is damaged, everyone is safe and we didn't loose power. Maybe next week I can get back to planning my trip!

Park Day 5 ~ Magic Kingdom & Epcot

In a stunning reversal from day 4, we'll be visiting MK in the am & Ep in the pm. MK has another party tonight so the crowds should be low, even with EMH. And tonight...well tonight is our first ever Candlelight Processional with Doogie Howser...I mean Neil Patrick Harris. I love Jesus, I love Christmas & I love Disney, so I'm really looking forward to this show!

It will be an early morning between the extra time it takes to get to MK and the hour earlier admission. Plus this is Day 5...hopefully getting to bed early on Day 3 (after Universal) will help us out a bit. This is the hardest MK day to plan out because I don't know what will actually happen the first 2 MK days. What will we have to skip over because we run out of time or energy? Will we have had a day that its warm enough for Splash Mnt or will today be the day? Will my daughter turn out to be a roller coaster junkie and insist on doing Space Mnt?

So my plan is to not really have a plan. Whatever we missed we will do this morning. If we ride Splash on our first day we will save Tomorrowland for this day.

We will do the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom just before lunch, have lunch and head to Epcot...where the planning is a little (okay alot) more scheduled.

When we arrive at Epcot we will head to Innoventions. My family could probably spend most of a day in here (but I won't let them.)


Then we will head to World Showcase with Mexico (and its ride) being our first stop. I will make sure to pick up a schoolbread in Norway.


We'll probably spend a bit of time in China & Germany (since these are two of the countries Hope picked for a cultural American Heritage Girls badge). I will leave them in Italy to go stand in line for CP. I'm hoping that getting in line at 4:00 will get us into the 5:00 show since the crowd level that day is a 2.8. If not I will wait for the next show. Dave will take Hope to the kidcot fun stops. And if we don't make it for the first show, they will be bringing me supper. After the Candlelight Processional we will finish our tour of the countries and leave during Illuminations, so we don't look like this on the bus.
