This is EXACTLY why we have cruised Disney so many times! I have cruised Carnival and will never do it again. They may be a cheaper way to cruise, but I felt like I was at a college party. Disney was all about family. They have gone to great lengths to make sure everyone has a wonderful trip. Glad you liked your Disney cruise

Well, it's not my review. But we always enjoy our DCL cruises.

We cruised with our teenagers on Carnival after a week at WDW and it almost put us off cruising forever - especially my husband, who did NOT enjoy it. Then Disney sailed out of Galveston last year, and after some fast talking on my part (but Babe, it's DISNEY) he agreed. By day three he was ready to book another cruise on-board.

You definitely get what you pay for. Carnival is much more of a party ship, and my family really didn't fit in. DCL is much more our style!

I'm happy to dance with you
I have 2 opinions
We had tried usual things to keep them away, including something like coyote urine, it is sold in hardware stores by us

I have enjoyed over 10 CCL cruises and my next DCL will be #9. I really do enjoy them both!( Have done 8 on Princess, too!)

I have only been to the "family" comedy shows on CCL, and have enjoyed them more than DCL's comedy shows.

I do agree with the CC post that our CCL servers often seem to be rushed, that they have too many guests to serve. I have mentioned that on my comment cards to Carnival.

Our last CCL was 2 Januarys ago, and it went to Belize, can not get there on DCL, and I do chose my cruising by itinerary as well as other considerations.

I have a lot of friends who have done the Panama Canal cruise and none of them have done DCL's, but we are. Other cruise lines often have more ports, and I would like that, but overall I like Disney's on board experience nicer than the others, not enough to forego CCL, Princess or RCCL. DH prefers the others, primarily Princess.

It was nice to read the review, thank you for the link.

We went to the "family" shows on our Carnival cruise. There were 2 different comedians, but we didn't really care for either of them. And I felt the material was somewhat borderline as to whether it was "family" friendly. Mostly innuendo about "giving me the number 1 finger" (talking about bad drivers in LA, as well as how to bring up kids "keep him in the closet until he moves out". And basically being pretty rude to the audience members "hello, any one out there?" This asked directly to the people at the table closest to the stage.

I'll take the DCL comedy shows any day.
