To be honest it is no stronger than most other normal lagers available over here but the colloquial phrase has stuck around.

I'm more of an ale drinker myself anyway.

Whose facebook page is that on? I'd like to see it.

I'm with you...not normally interested in these events they have, but I am a HUGE Tiki Room fan from when I was a wee lad. I was obsessed as a kid. (First trip to WDW was 1972 at 2.5 years old.) I actually own a LP record of the Tiki Room soundtrack that I got as a kid. B-side is Thurl Ravenscroft narrating the Jungle Cruise. I played it for DD not too long ago and it's still in good shape. Too bad the jacket is completely mauled or I think it would be worth some money.

Let me see if I can shed some light on the issue of "dress code"...

The Welcome Dinner and the Farewell Dinner are going to be listed as "smart casual". I think most folks would be comfortable in a pair of khakis and a polo shirt (or your equivalent) I'm sure that the women will be able to extrapolate from that what they will want to wear.

Please don't misunderstand me....you do not need to go out and buy fancier clothes. That being said, you might be uncomfortable in cutoffs, flip flops and tshirt that says "I'm With Stupid".

Your first dinner in DL is at Steakhouse 55. The same suggestion that is listed above will work here as well. This dinner can be trickier and kind of depends on your group.

The Steakhouse 55 dinner comes at the end of a LONG day.

You have breakfast, imagineering, shopping at Mickey's of Glendale, the Disney Studios and a bus ride to DL in traffic. You then have check in at the Grand Californian.

Any of these activities can throw the schedule off a bit....and that's okay because you are going to be armed with knowledge.

On past Adventures, we have sometimes kept to the schedule and sometimes not. There have been times when we arrived at the GC with time to get our luggage and "freshen up" for dinner and other times when dinner was ready to start and our luggage hadnt arrived yet.

Being armed with this information, I would make a suggestion to those that think they may be uncomfortable going to Steakhouse 55 in the same clothes they have been touring in all day (and it's a long day).

At each of your stops, the bus will be locked and attended. This means you are welcome to bring a day bag to keep on the bus with you. Mine usually includes my iPad, my glasses, and assorted other stuff. After not receiving our luggage in time on our last BSM trip, I would now include a clean shirt and any toiletries I might need to feel "presentable" at dinner. you do not have to tote this around all day. Your bag, along with everyone's electronic equipment and other valuables will be well tended.

This is by no means a requirement and it's just a suggestion that I will use on our next BSM.

Other than the three events discussed (and any dining plans you make on your own), everything else on the Adventure is "theme park wear"...including Club 33.

You might find information that states Club 33 has a dress code, and they do....most of the time. Your group will have Club 33 all to yourselves at breakfast and "theme park wear" is not only acceptable, it's suggested. After Club 33, you will jump right into your day and there will be not time to change.

I hope this has been helpful.

If you have questions...just let me know.

Kevin - the question originated from my wife. I think her, like most women are more concerned with "dress codes" than most men. Most men I know have three stages of dress: "slovenly", "casual" and "formal". In other words - T-shirt and shorts, slacks and collared shirt, and a suit and tie. Women, at least in my experience, have 12 categories with 38 sub-categories. However, with the conversation at chat - Ulana feels more comfortable about it. Good to know about the Steakhouse 55 dinner. You sort of discussed this situation in chat, but the details provided here about the bag for changing are an excellent suggestion.

Sorry, I am just wondering about Club 33. I know on early trips you ran it was always a case of "We'll try to get it every time, but we cannot guarantee until that morning." I just assumed it was the same situation this year, and was taking the attitude that we might not go there so as not to be disappointed. However, your post above makes it sound like a sure thing? Is that true? (He asked with fingers crossed.)

And remember, April Fool's ended yesterday.

Being a private club, Club 33 is never a "sure thing".

Our group could be bumped by a member wanting the space. While this hasnt happened, it could.

That being said, I'm always confident (hopeful?) that our group will get to experience Club 33.

When dealing with Disney, there is always the possibility that things can change for any number of reasons.

We've run into several itinerary changes on our Adventures. Our last trip to Rome changed when the Pope decided to make an impromptu appearance. Another time we were in Florence and the museum housing Michelangelo's David went on strike. We just waited them out and then went in. One of the ABD trips found out that there was a press event in the MK, so the group went to DCA and the MK the next day. One of the great things about ABD is their flexibility and ability to make it look easy when dealing with changes.

Tickets are available now, but you can probably get tickets at the box office the day of.

Now that I looked that up for you I am more depressed.... There is also going to be a bowl available!!! I wonder though if we would be able to get them through that parks merchandise website after they are released.

So- then I will choose to be pessimistic so as not to be disappointed on the chance of cancelation.

The movie comes out May 3rd. I imagine there will be no issue getting tickets 5+ weeks after its release.

Oh boy, seeing their FB page made me twice as excited to meet them.

They say the mug and bowls are an "open edition", that to me means it's not a limited run. So, I'm guessing it wouldn't be that hard to get on-line. The bowl doesn't interest me, but I'd pick up a mug for hot tub night!

Jane Henson passes

Somewhat related to our trip. Word came out last night that Jane Henson, wife of the legendary Jim Henson, has passed away at age 78. Seeing as we will be touring the Jim Henson studios - I thought this would be appropriate.
