Love is a strong word and I'm not feeling that for TOT.

I love the slushies. It is always so hot and the slushies are a nice way to cool off for a bit.

I don't know what it is about TOT, but that was a pretty intense ride for me. But I am glad I did it.

You can trade vinylmations just about any gift shop. We bought a bunch of cheapo ones at the Disney Store online. We got some for as low as $1.99. We enjoy trading. Maybe we can do that together during Thanksgiving. Some shops have just three to trade and others have a box as big as 24? You pick a number and they show the figurine behind that number and you decide if you want to trade or not. Some CM's are really strict about how many tries you get, some just let you pick a bunch of numbers. The boxes are not always prominently displayed, so you have to ask. If they don't have a box at their gift shop, they will always tell you which h one close by that does have one.
For Labor Day we are just doing another long weekend- Aug 30- Sept. 3.- so no intersection.

Are any of y'all going to dress up for MNSSHP this time around, or will you stick with t-shirts? It is fun to dress up, but it is generally too hot to try and do one costume that works for the party and on Halloween. If we were going to go to MNSSHP this year there would be no way we could do our Halloween costumes.

Thanks for the Vinylmation trading info!

It figures .......

We will most likely wear the T-shirts again. Even those were boiling hot when we went last year. DD will wear her Rapunzel dress, probably. I can't get into the costume thing because it is just way too hot.

Day 4 – Part Three

DD wanted to trade vinylmations, too, but they didn’t have their box in this store so they sent us down to Tower of Terror gift shop to trade.

Did this.

Here is the vinylmation she traded for.

We saw this sticker for your back window. I thought it was funny.

After all of that, we were ready for lunch. We walked over to the ABC Commissary, but there wasn’t anything thing there that the kids wanted to eat, so we just went over to Backlot Express. We had two CS credits left.
The kids split Chicken and French fries. Big shock there.

DH and I split the turkey Panini.

This was just my half, so plenty of food for two.

We got caramel cheesecake for dessert

It was pretty good. DD loved it !!

Meow.

We had one snack credit left and DD HAD to have some popcorn, so DH went to get her that.

I took some photos.

DD stuffing her face with popcorn.

And we sadly made our way out of the park and back to the car. We went through the shops and managed to get DD a Merida T-shirt that I don’t have a photo of. We were excited to see the movie and have since seen it and we all really liked it. The kids want to see it again in 3-D. Seems like a good summer activity to me.

We also just recently bought them bow and arrows and DH took them out shooting today.

Thanks to everyone for joining us on our short summer Father’s Day trip. We go back in September for 7 days, so I hope you will join me then !!

We'll be staying at the Wilderness Lodge Villas which will be new to us, so we are very excited. We had RCI time share points that we had to "use or lose". I was surprised to find any DVC available, so I jumped on that one !!

Sounds like it was a nice last day!

Can't wait to hear about your September trip. We stayed at WL (not the villas though) last May & really enjoyed that location. It's a nice resort. We own our timeshare with Hilton & can trade through RCI, so I know how hard it can be to find DVC properties with them (OKW was the only thing open for our Sept dates).

We stayed at WL club level for two nights in January of 2011 for my birthday and we loved it there. Can't wait to try out the villas.

I really feel like you can't go wrong with a DVC resort. OKW is wonderful, you will love it !!!

Short trips are better than no trips, I always say! I enjoyed reading along.

The Villas at Wilderness Lodge sound great! I don't know why exactly, but I've been REALLY interested in Wilderness Lodge lately. Hmm... Hooray! I hope you'll let me know when you start the next one, even though I know it won't be for a while!

I have the one that says "My other car is a monorail." Yes, I'm one of THOSE people now.

I love that ToT shirt. Definitely true. That is awesome you could get DVC w/ your RCI points. I have read that can be difficult. I love WL. Can't wait to go back there.

We have done a lot of short trips this year. Most of ours have been 2 or 3 days. I remember way back when, in 2007, after a Labor Day weekend trip that I said I'd never go back for such a short duration again. If I had only known what nerd I'd turn into too.

I was pretty sure you had some such sticker. I think I might be one of THOSE people, too !!

I was so happy to snag that ressie. It is VERY hard to get DVC through RCI.

I agree that a short trip is better than no trip.

I'm sorry to see your TR come to an end!!! But a quick trip is definitely better than no trip, I agree!! Can't wait to hear all about the WLV in September!

UGH souvenir regret. You know that I've gone through that!!!!! And yet STILL after that whole adventure, I didn't pick up something this past trip that I wish I had! (I think this just always happens!)

Yes, I am excited to stay at a new resort. I mean we've stayed in the regular rooms at WL, but not WLV, so that will be a new adventure.

Yep, souvenir regret ... I have it every trip.

Subbing really late don't know how I missed this one but I was bored at work and was like hey weren't the Saratopia family going back to WDW again. Let's see if I can find thier trip report and I found it! I love reading your reports. I started my solo TR writing today but won't be posting till prob tommorrow or so gotta get some pictures uploaded first.

Anyway we all have those parenting moments and we are allowed to! The older my kids get the wiser I've become (ok am trying to become) with picking the battles. I like to think of it as I'm getting wiser with age, not tired of fighting the fight with age.

Let's see we will be there in Sept too I'm guessing your trip is right after mine or before. We always seem to be just barely missing each other with our trips. That is awesome on the RCI trade we have tried to trade in unsuccessfully for 2 years now and I check alot. We have 'weeks' though and it's next to impossible to get into DVC with that. We did get Bonnet Creek earlier this year and loved it though.

I enjoyed the report, I just love reading about your families adventures. I also didn't get alot done at work today but did get your whole report finihsed. Hmm wonder if there is a direct link.

Hey girl !! I am glad we could keep you company at work

I get distracted by TR's at work sometimes too.

We felt really fortunate to get into DVC with our RCI points. Our dates are Sept 7-14, so if you are going to be there during that time, I would love to see you.

I hear a lot of good things about Bonnet Creek, so it is good to know that is an option if we ever need to use up some points.

I sprained my ankle VERY badly and I am not sure it is going to heal in time for our next trip, so I might have to be one of those scooter people.

We are staying at Saratopia again in November. We are wait listed for Boardwalk and Bay Lake Tower, but so far I haven't heard anything from DVC, so we will just stick with Saratoga Springs which is a very nice place.

I'll be on the lookout for your TR !!!

Finally I have stopped the procrastination an started my TR from my solo trip. Also I'm all ambitious thinking and think I may do a pre-trip for our September trip that is in 19 days but I need to just dial it back a notch and try to keep up with one thing at a time.
